Fish was beautifully cooked plus the fish had been skinned (which made my wife really happy), We would definitely recommend, there was a queue but Leon was on his own but was definitely worth the wait

I have found Leon's to be the best fish and chip shop in the area since moving to Gainsborough several years ago. Now having moved away I still have not found a f&c supper to beat the flavour, quality and reasonable price. I visit when I get a chance.

Travelled 15 minutes after reading such great reviews, food lovely and hot but talk about service with a smile...Leon IS SO rude!!!

Love this chippy. You can order and collect. They often have specials on the go such as fish and chip with whatever side and a drink £4.50. All freshly cooked. I would highly recommend you give this chippy a try.CHANGE OF EXPERIENCEWent to place an order by phone, as we always do, often! Was told that we could do this but would have to queue like everyone else! As it is Friday and he's extremely busy.It meant that if I placed my order for 5pm (I called at 4.30 as I always do) but had to queue for 15 minutes, my food would be cold? He replied 'correct'!So my custom is good enough for you any other day of the week which mostly range from £25 to £50 each order but not on a Friday! So we went elsewhere to a lovely fish and chip shop that do much more called Trinity Fish Bar where the food was just as good, just as hot and just the right price.Sometimes some business owners don't want your custom!! He was rude.

Waited 30minutes to be served which wasn't an issue, they don't sell haddock anymore just cod, do I wanted a fish cake and battered sausage, the owner rudely answered I haven't ordered it so can't have them, I wasn't told I needed to order food beforehand, no one asked what we wanted as we stood in the que for 30mins and no signs suggesting otherwise. So I then asked for a steak pie which again I couldn't have. So I asked for a small cod which again wasn't available. Both members of staff were very rude and abrupt, the chippy was full and we both felt very uncomfortable. Will not be eating from here again!!

The best fish and chips, i only get them from here they are so tasty and cooked fresh as you come in so can take a little while longer then other chip shops but well worth the extra few mins xx

Best fish and chips by a country mile. Leon himself is Leon. If people want an entertaining man behind the counter, then they should go elsewhere, I tend to go to a fish and chip shop for fish and chips not for cabaret. The chips are always crisp and warm even after a ten minute journey or so getting them home. The fish are always big, plump and meaty; the batter just perfect; crisp and dry, complimenting the fish rather than being stodgy and soaked up into it. Leon himself is efficient and quick...no fuss...no thrills. But I don't go there for thrills.
