Saxilby Fish & Chips in West Lindsey

The woman serving me last night was most unhelpful and condescending. Rolling her eyes to a colleague when I asked her a simple question and making her male colleague look uncomfortable in the process. The fish and chips were actually very good though!

Excellent fish and chips! Lovely thick cod steak and yummy new potato chips all at a good price. Will certainly be back again

Must be one of the best fish and chips shops in the country, beats any in London with the portion size and price, highly recommended will definitely be back.

How this joint gets 5 🌟People must be easily pleased..As in other reviews here have stated.Greasy pallid tasteless chips..Fish had too much batter, overcooked as well.An unfriendly lady serving, no eye contact, no thank you either..Avoid at all cost..Needless to say myself family & friends won't bother to give them any custom..

I ordered fish and chips and they were really delicious, I will definitely go back if I'm in the area. The customer service was great and everyone was really friendly.When I ordered my fish I didn't realise they were closing but they offered to cook it fresh for me even though they were closing in 5 minutes.

Nice little village chippy, food is always good quality and portions are generous.Great place to grab a quick family bite and prices are fair.

We looked for a chippy on Google & found this place. Not too far from where we were staying for a couple of nights. Some of the reviews were bad so we almost didn't go but...we wanted to decide for ourselves. Very pleased we did! Fish and chips twice with scraps! All very good, tasty, hot and plenty of it. Staff were lovely and polite. No complaints here. Definitely worth a trip.

So today I launched my new food review name I was going to go with Google food reviews but it wouldn't let me instead of using my email address for my personal account or my business account.So I visited this chip shop today while working in the area and yesterday I reviewed the different chip shop at Hunstanton in Norfolk that I had visited while working in that area that only got a one star review due to the shocking rip-off that I was charged.Well this chip shop is totally different from arriving on site the smell of the cooking chips and batter was fantastic I went inside and there was a young girl serving and a man on the till. I asked to see how big are regular chips was and decided I would like a large chips and I don't know why I chose two large battered sausages naughty me the chips are a very decent portion size for the price.One thing I wasn't asked and I didn't think about it was that they are not plane sausages they probably had some but I was just given to sausages that tastes like sage and onion stuffing which was nice as I had a similar one before whilst travelling back from Mablethorpe which was very spicy and very greasy. This was not as I wrapped a napkin around it and squeezed it and a low amount of oil came out of the batter and sausage.The chips were fantastic compared to yesterday's hard greasy potatoes but they could have done with just maybe 3 to 4 minutes cooking extra as they were lightly Brown but not quite as soft in the middle.All in all if I was to visit the area again around lunchtime I would be back hear.😊

Great fish and chips. The haddock here is quite delicious and the chips are tasty, the portions are quite large. I Asked for extra salt and vinegar, which hightnened the flavor. When I first got in line I was number 16, but the line moves swiftly i waited about 10 minutes total. Food is worth the wait. I will defiently come back for more.
