Very friendly staff, ample parking, outdoor dining area if required. Tables with river view, very tasty food with ample portions, recommend the steak and stilton pie if you are quick enough. No rush for the table and reasonable prices.

A quiet country pub that serves good food. The pub is very well presented and the staff and regulars made us feel very welcome. Dog friendly and even have a tin of treats on the bar. The weather was really cold when we visited but the bar was warm and welcoming, something we have noticed is getting more rare of late.

This is a great bar and eatery. Ownership has changed maybe a couple of years ago, but still friendly service and reasonable prices. Have been many times, including Wedding Reception. Highly recommended

A beautiful place. I don't know if Covid has any bearing on the fact that the place was devoid of customers in the lounge or it was midweek but I expected to be busy considering that Christmas day was only three days away but it was clearly lacking the festive spirit. The barman (or landlord?) certainly did his bit but couldn't quite make up for the lack of warmth in the place as the central heating wasn't on or was broken the log fire was great if you were next to it but any more that two metres away and you were certainly chilled.Talking of chilled, the Old Peculiar was certainly chilled enough for it to have lost its taste but the cask ale, Rev Buckley was spot on, a delightful pint! Those of us that had the steak in ale pie all commented that it was only just warm and would have benefitted enormously with a few more minutes in the oven or wherever it was warmed up, it tasted good nonetheless. The accompanying vegetables were piping hot and cooked to perfection. Not bad, but not five stars on this occasion I'm afraid.

Very nice pub and B&b. Very friendly and kind. The rooms where clean and very well looked after. They didn’t had vegan options for breakfast but nicely they found us some alternatives. And the coffee was amazing ☕️

My local pub and I don't go in often enough but I'm glad I did, food was delicious and filling! Very quiet at lunch time on a Tuesday for a relaxing meal.

Proper Country Pub Hospitality. A friendlier hostelry in the Scunthorpe area you'll be hard pressed to find. The food is exceptional and plentiful and the welcome always pleasant. There's a very good reason why the Sunday roast options (might) run out early - those in the know got there early. You can do the same. Why on earth people would go to chain pubs for a meal is beyond me. For proper fresh food you need a proper hostelry and the Jenny Wren ticks all the right boxes.Try it - you can thank me later.

Well what a wonderful evening my friend Debs and I had. Firstly sat on the banks of the Trent , then had a beautiful meal served by very friendly staff. The landlord was a very nice chap and to add to our evening there was a band on called the Geriatrics…..Fabulous. It was such a lovely evening Thankyou to all at The Jenny Wren Susworth 👏👏
