After reading some of the reviews on here I was surprised. Our stay was lovely. Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms ( with iron and board, and hairdryer) lovely shower. Friendly staff (especially the guy behind the bar) and nothing was too much trouble. Bar food great and plentiful as was the food in the restaurant, although if I’m being extra picky, Swede with salmon in chilli sauce is not ideal, and no gluten free options really on the menu and no gluten free bread/ rolls on the breakfast menu. The hotel is a little remote, but Grantham approx 5 miles away and Stamford 30 miles. Both nice places to visit. We would definitely stay here again.

You are in the middle of nowhere, but you have everything you need. Staff very friendly, food is lovely. We stayed over for a murder mystery night with 3 course meal included. Very good! Loved it! Rooms are spacious and clean and decor is on trend and the steam, sauna and swimming pool are also very well kept.Second time I've been. And I would definitely go again and would recommend

Lovely hotel, nice bar area and the staff were great. The only issue was the room didn't feel like it was worth £112.00. Very old tatty furniture and in need of a refresh in my opinion. Jacuzzi and shower both great too.

From the moment we entered the hotel we felt the warmth from the friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. The food is was better than I anticipated. Spa facilities were nice. We were offered a discount on treatments as there was a cancellation. They managed to fit 6 of us in at a great price. No fault at all. My Bed was as a bit too firm but that's a personal preference. We'll done keep it up

Part of the Best Western group. In general an excellent hotel. Our room was massive, although I was told that it was the biggest they have. (room 302). The service is great, and the evening meal was great value at less than £20 for three courses. My only complaint was that the bed in our room was not comfortable. You could feel the springs while sleeping. After speaking to the receptionist, we were given bed toppers that helped. But that room does need a new bed. It's slightly out of the way, but makes for a quiet stay.

From start to finish our experience was simply excellent.Staff very polite and attentive from the front desk to the waiters and waitresses and the breakfast lady, one called Jane was working the evening before on the murder mystery event we attended yet was still lovely and helpful. Cleaners had clearly done their job becasue the room was spotless. Food in the evening and at breakfast was great and superb choice at breakfast and as for the murder mystery simply brilliant. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and hopefully return with a few more friends /family for a stay and hopefully an event. Big thanks from room 505 who stayed 1st April.

Me and my Daughter had a great night here. Lovely hotel and nice friendly staff. Great pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Nice meal too. Really enjoyed our night there and got it through a Wowcher deal. Great value for money.

I enjoyed my stay. Very basic room, the double bed felt very small, was too soft and lumpy but room was spacious. Bathroom had a good range of free toiletries, shower pressure was acceptable. No rubber mat to avoid slipping (reception had no spares but searched ages for me to source one). Friendly staff, spa area was ok. Pool temperature was too cold, but having a sauna and hot tub explains why. Emily gave me a great facial and my husband an hour deep tissue back massage - both of us for £60 which was reasonable. Breakfast had a good buffet range and they even made us non-pork sausages & differently cooked eggs upon request. Gravity was a nice bar area to chill and have a drink before dinner. The prepaid meal was tasteless though. Watery seafood pasta, and a weird soup starter. Wouldn’t advice eating in the restaurant. The bar food was better (following night had a toasted baguette sandwich with fries). Location was quiet and rural - however a jaw-dropping experience having to turn into Toll Bar Road from the busy A1 road, crossing 3 lanes of 70mph traffic!! My adrenal glands couldn’t take it ! Overall a pleasant and peaceful hotel stay.

My partner and I visited from Nottingham for a romantic spa break. clearly needs updating and the “Spa” is very basic (reminded me of some council run facilities). We had quite a laugh during our stay because the whole place felt like a homage to the 1980’s.I would recommend the hotel based on the cleanliness, friendly staff and good food. If you come without any preconceptions of a luxurious boutique hotel spa and expect more basic facilities then you will have an enjoyable stay.

A hidden gem of a hotel. Great location to get to local places and a mile away from A1.Rooms comfortable with all mod cons. Tea and coffee facilities. Food of a good standard, both in the restaurant for breakfast and bar meals.Facilities are all working as they should. Really enjoyed them. Thanks for a lovely stay
