The sweyn forkbeard in West Lindsey

Use regularly, always busy and popular. Staff friendly and efficient. Why can't smokers sit at front outside (I'm not a smoker) instead of tucked away round the back? I appreciate food is served outside but it is in both areas.

It actually has some history lessons in form of pictures on the walls. Absolutely beautiful. Food is as always, good and affordable. Going for breakfast tomorrow 😃

Very nice steak lunch. Very comfortable. My companion from New Zealand also enjoyed the experience.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice lunch had by all. Great prices. Plenty being done still to keep people safe. Now covid is "over" things have got back to normal. Still keeping clean and providing good ales. Friendly and polite staff and food is still pretty good. Sorry, I love Wetherspoons and the Forkbeard is a nice example. Thanks everyone.

We've eaten at this place a fair few times, but our most recent wasn't great. Gammon, egg and chips. Chips were quite soggy and the gammon was certainly undercooked. One bad visit though so will definitely be back for a do-over.

Had the smashed avocado muffin with bacon. Everything was cold on a cold plate and bacon looked like it had been sat around a while.Stella alcohol free was delicious and coffee was excellent.

Food and beer was good!

Been coming here quite regularly over the last few months and it is fair to say the service is second to none and the quality of the food is exceptional and the waiting time is minimal. Cannot fault the service and staff at Gainsborough.

2 stars are for the staff infact they are 5 stars but the food is absolutely garbage and had better herons microwave meals at a 10th of the price. Will go back for a drink but not the food.

Good food, nice cheap drinks, good service for most of the night. would've given 5 stars for that. the reason I've given three is because at around 8pm we ordered a round of alcoholic drinks but were told it was the last round of drinks they'd allow us because we've "been drinking since 2pm". I'd understand that if we were being disruptive to other customers or being loud and rowdy, but we were just enjoying a nice day out together after not having seen each other in months. we were just chatting and having a good time, we were polite, etc. so I didn't appreciate this. they didn't directly kick us out, but it was enough to make us feel uncomfortable staying longer
