Worst experience of a Sunday lunch ever! Waited over an hour for the food (we had booked) and the beef was inedible. The lady was very apologetic but it ruined our afternoon. I certainly won't be returning any time soon.

Lovely old pub, lovely staff, visited for a wake, food lovely

I chose the White Hart for my father's Wake. From start to finish the Service from Zena the manager was superb. We had the afternoon buffet, which went down so well as it had a great selection and the cakes were fabulous. Very relaxed atmosphere and Zena made it all so simple and easy for us during which was a very difficult time. Cannot recommend this enough.

Simplistic decor. Lounge would be lovely if it had a cosy feel to it. However, staff were really friendly, service was great and the food was AMAZING. Tbh. I really didn't expect the food to be as good as it was. Was a little put off with surroundings but SO glad we stayed to enjoy our meal as it was really lovely. Would recommend it

Very nice food great a bit expensive but when you see what you get it is good and can't wait to go again

We were on holiday in Lincoln and thought we would come here for our 20th wedding anniversary meal. I understand with the current times but the food was very basic pub grub. There was not much choice on the menu. The hunters chicken I had was very dry and the cheesecake was days old. The online reviews and menu looked amazing. We were very unimpressed. The staff were nice though.

Good dining. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Affordable prices. I'll come back.

Went here for food, amazing location, you can sit outside at the back near the stream, the burgers were amazing with had cut chips and homemade coleslaw, definitely will be back!

Staff and food lovely, wasn't rushed out and stayed chatting which was nice. Was not impressed with Covid Cleansing - when told sauces were in the metal pot containing cutlery, we found one sachet leaking, several sachets empty from being used, a cheesy puff crisp, and a bit of someone else's salad. Obviously not cleaned from previous users. Also overcharged on the bill, luckily we were paying our own and noticed.Plus no disabled toilets, which I thought everyone had to have nowadays. My friend had to wait until she got home because she couldn't fit herself and her walker in the normal toilets

I'm swimming against the general opinion of people who all appear to be giving 5 star ratings. It's certainly popular as we could only get a late Sunday afternoon booking, however it meant that there were only 2 out of 6 available meals left to choose from. Not a problem as we chose the short rib meal and as you can see from the photo the presentation was excellent. Lovely crunchy roasts and a huge portion. Brilliant value for only £16. Where we felt the meal fell short was the meat was very very dry and shreddie. Like when something has been slow cooked for far too long. Hard to swallow. And apart from the roast potatoes the rest if the veg was cold to luke warm. Gravy was cold and even the plates were cold. Although staff were very courteous and helpful (landlord and landlady are very good hosts), I think that the staff were so run off their feet that it was difficult to gain any eye contact with of them when I needed something. In fact one lad on 2 separate occasions kept forgetting what I had asked for and I had to get someone else's attention in the end. We could have caught them on an off day, but having heard so many good things about the place I guess I was just expecting a bit more. Tremendous value though and I will be back again. Maybe not on a Sunday. And maybe not the short rib.
