Just returned from a short stay, took my Mum for a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing time, beautiful food, & choices too. The lovely staff make sure that you have everything you need, nothing is too much effort. Thank you & looking forward to another visit.

We stayed for one night for a relaxing getaway. It was perfect! The room was stunning. The spa included in the price was the cherry on top. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive! I can’t wait to I there again!!

On first impressions, I was a little disappointed with our suite, but once settled in it was comfortable and cozy, and very well equipped with everything you may need or want. The one thing that let it down was the bathroom, which looked dated. The hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Amelia, who served us our delicious dinner in the restaurant. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices. The spa, is also very nice, luckily the weather was good during our stay and we had a very relaxing time dipping in and out of the out door jacuzzi, you could also help yourself to coffee, hot chocolate and fresh fruit. Personal I would have liked a cup of tea!Overall we had a lovely time at The Swan Hotel, the spa was a real bonus, the food delicious and we can't wait to return.Sort out the bathroom and it's a very easy 5 stars.

I had booked to stay for 1 night tomorrow with a friend. We confirmed the booking yesterday. Unfortunately she tested positive with Covid earlier this afternoon. We telephoned the hotel immediately who showed no compassion whatsoever. We were happy to rearrange our stay for another time. Instead they immediately deducted the full amount of £203 from my account even before the said trip would have taken place. I am disgusted. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

I would give more stars if I could. Went here just for mother's day Sunday lunch. Aside from the food which was lovely the service was outstanding. We were let down by the kennels so had to bring our two dogs along dividing our party into three in the bar and two in the restaurant for the first two courses until a space appeared in the hotel car park and we could put the dogs in the car. The staff ran back and forth seeing to both our groups and even gave us some off cuts of beef for the dogs. Over and above what they needed to do and on a very busy day for them.

Lovely hotel to stay in, lots of character and history. Good location to see the village. Had dinner in the restaurant, nice food (although room for improvement), great service, and a beautiful room. The spa facilities are an outside jacuzzi, steam and spa. This was included in the price of the hotel which I thought was very reasonable. I would recommend.

Went there for anniversary afternoon tea. Lovely setting and you had a choice of a Traditional Afternoon Tea with sandwiches, scones and selection of sweet treats or a savoury afternoon tea. £25 / head and well worth it. Would like to go back and sample the restaurant at some point.

what a wonderful hotel. the customer service was excellent and the staff were so friendly courteous and made us welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself is beautiful, beds were so comfortable and the housekeeping service second to none.

Lovely return to The Swan afternoon tea for 2022.I've enjoyed every minute, everything was wonderful. Sandwiches very freshly prepared.Scones warm and freshly baked.Petit four cakes delicious, light and fluffy.Tea was beautiful served. Only grumble I would prefer the fresh version than teabags ...Staff welcoming, friendly and attentive.Thank you again for a lovely day looking forward to my next visit. 😊

We stayed for two nights with friends. The hotel is very old and quite posh but informal with lots of lounge space with quality furnishings. Rooms are very nice and traditional. Good breakfast. What makes it a really enjoyable place to stay are the staff. The GM is a genuine asset to the hotel, friendly yet professional and hands on. We had a small problem with our room and James dealt with it perfectly. He even served our breakfast the next morning which is expertly cooked with quality products. We will return and highly recommend a visit Martin and Daryl C
