Good value for money, and very friendly staff. The dog friendly room was better than we expected. Breakfast was fine, and there was a good continental selection.Evening meal in the restaurant was of a typical chain pub quality, nothing special but nothing to complain about. Had a good night's stay.

The Bull Hotel is a stunning example of an English hostelry you'll find. The Greene King brewery is only 14 miles away, so it's not surprising to see their name over the door. The beers are beautifully kept and wash down the traditional Sunday Roast. They even off a trio of Roasts; Beef, Pork & Turkey for those like me that can't decide. Food and Drinks are all very reasonably priced.

Lovely ancient buiding with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Food was excellent and bed was comfy. Was lovely to be able to relax in the oak paneled lounge by the open log fire however some guest ales other than Abott ale would be a nice touch. Was a very nice stay

Pleasantly surprised by the standard of this hotel after some disappointments at other GK hostelries in the region. A charming building, room was perfect and staff a credit to the management. Thanks for an enjoyable stay in the lovely village of Long Melford, we will return to explore further.

Room was adequate although lacking the tudor charm of the rest of the hotel. There is limited parking in the hotel courtyard and plenty more on the road outside, all of it free. Staff were friendly and helpful and standards of cleanliness appeared to be high. We didn't eat in the hotel so I can't comment on the food.

Absolutely lovely 2 night stay. Lovely meal & wine & great breakfasts! Spotlessly clean, staff very courteous & friendly and in a beautiful village ideally located to explore Suffolk!

It was strange hanging around in the entrance with no hostess or server around to seat patrons. The historical decor gave a lovely ambience. The food was very tasty, and the server knew the wines on offer. I had their Salmon Cake with new potatoes, peas and spinach. (Serving portions quite small)Felt forgotten at moments - the server was very busy, other servers walked past without collecting empty plates.
