Hot Wok in Babergh

Asked for duck spring rolls got vegetable spring rolls. The chow mein was burnt and dry.

Probably the best Chinese I have had in Sudbury. Delivered hot and on time. The caramelized chicken was superb, the mixed seafood also excellent. All food well presented. Thoroughly recommended.

Ordered a meal from here before no problems but today ordered the same meal I always order because I am allergic to onions spring onions and bean sprouts I asked for then not to be included and informed them about being allergic to them they said ok no problem get my delivery and open it up and they had put them in it I call to complaine and the lady was very rude saying that I was wrong lucky I check my food before I eat it or something could have gone very wrong I will not be ordering from them again please teach you employees to treat people with respect when they answer the phone at least the delivery drive understood

Best Chinese I’ve had in years! For all of the battered items, they took a small cut out of the plastic lids, so they didn’t get soggy. The smoked caramelised chicken was a particularly nice dish and the salt n pepper prawns were banging!

I have always ordered from here but the last couple of times I have telephoned to place an order I have found the same person really rude! I shall not be placing any further orders from here ever! To be honest the food has been pretty sub standard as well ! Lucky I've given them one star.

Placed order over phone was told 20 minutes which was great considering the large order placed. Obviously the girl on the other end of the phone don't know what she is doing or can't read as she don't know the difference between plain and chicken! Called up to say all the chow mein orders was incorrect and the 'Don't care" attitude from the man I spoke to was absolutely disgusting! Needless to say that will be the last £100 + order they will be getting from me. Oh and food was average should have gone to my usual takeaway instead of giving hot wok another go........never again!

Was a little worried on reading the variable reviews but arrived in time stated on New Years Eve. Was very tasty. Would definitely order from here again as very disappointed with the food from Young’s previously.

After a not so good experience of a take away, I am happy to say I received a call acknowledging my upset which was nice to receive and dealt with very professionally. I have recently had another take away as I believe in 2nd chances and am happy to say it was one of the nicest takeaways I can remember. It was very fast delivery, all cooked beautifully and went above expectations. I will definitely be using again thank you Hot wok for restoring my faith and having a good take away I know will deliver to me!!

I'm absolutely disgusted with the service I have received tonight. I'm a regular customer to hot wok and never normally have a problem. For the first time I phoned for a delivery, I was spoken to rather rudely to over the phone, and was told it will be about an hour. I then waited 1hr30 mins and still no delivery. I then tried consistntly for 15 mins to phone for a constant engaged line. My food then finally arrived 1hour 48minutes after ordering. The delivery man was very apologetic. I opened the bag to find my sweet and sour sauce spilled all in the bag. After finally playing my food up, start to tuck in and shock my food is cold and completely tasteless!! Absolutely appalled with the service I have received tonight!!!

If you are unable to deliver in the stated timescale, please do not lie to people. I ordered a meal an hour and a half ago and was told it could be an hour but, having phoned again, I a, now told you are just waiting on a couple of items to be cooked! Just tell the truth - I would have gone somewhere else if you were too busy. You are not doing yourselves any favours. I don't know what has changed as we have used you many times before but I find myself agreeing with your recent reviews - not good send I will try an alternative. Shame, you started well but in a small town bad news travels fast!
