I met a friend for dinner last night. We waited over an hour for someone to take our order. When one of our drinks came the glass had lip stick marks on the rim. The food came out and was ok. Although some was not hot. We then waited over an hour for someone to clear our plates and had to flag someone to do so. We had to ask for a dessert menu, find someone to order another drink and then ask for the bill. It then took 30 min to pay the bill. A few appetizers & two glasses of wine for the two of us took almost three hours from walking into the restaurant to leaving. When we asked to speak to a manager and very kindly shared our experience the mangers response was “well we were very busy tonight and short staffed, I can take your glasses on wine off but I can’t do anything about the food” no apologetic tone and she appeared very annoyed at our comments.

Gorgeous venue. Excellent service. Good menu. Enjoyed the mushroom and truffle croquettes.

Just had the most delicious lunch here with my son and daughter. Every dish was a delight, hard to pick out a favourite as they were all so good. Will definitely be back.

We had lunch here - excellent well kept pint of Greene King IPA, and a varied tapas type menu, from which 2 or 3 dishes should provide an adequate lunch.

Great bar and restaurant in Lavenham. Decent range of beers and the tapas was very tasty and reasonably priced too. Dog friendly.

Fabulous place, lovely attentive staff, food amazing. Sharing platters of fish which were amazing and cheeses outstanding, followed by tapas style croquettes, steak, calamari, prawns, triple cooked chips with truffle mayo and a lovely salad. Desserts were great. Will definitely be going again.

What a find, we happened to stumble across the greyhound whilst on a 2 day stopover in Suffolk, the food, drinks and service were impeccable. The tapas was so good we went back the next day and tried the chateaubriand, we weren’t disappointed - excellent quality meat and cooked to perfection. To our delight they also know how to make exceptional cocktails, we will definitely be going back and highly recommend. Top marks to whoever has taken over the greyhound, we really enjoyed both our lazy lunches here. Thank you to the staff for tending to us so well.

Some positives and some negatives.Lavenham Grehound, some positives and some not so positive. Ambience unexpectedly modern. Very clean, however I do need to mention that while the tables were well cleaned and sanitized, the chair backs and arms weren't - I visited just after Covid 19 restrictions were softened. I ordered Tapas - Serrano Ham Croquettes and Smoked Salmon Salad. Very little Ham in the Croquettes, however delicious. The Salmon dish was very, very salty. Salmon, Capers and Parmesan cheese ... flavours killed each other. Had Cŕéme Brulee for dessert - absolutely delicious.Date of visit: August 2021
