Long Melford Fine Foods Tea Room in Babergh

Just stopped off for a cuppa before going to a nearby NT property, we were made very welcome, lovely ladies! Extremely clean beautiful selection of cakes & very reasonably priced. This is a proper tea room, one to savour.

A great tearoom that's well worth a visit.Serving a selection of cakes, scones, toasted sandwiches, teas, a cream tea and even afternoon tea (with booking) - a fellow visitor had the latter and it looked very generous. Service is also affable, warm and friendly.We were served loose-leaf tea in a pot for 2, with cups & saucers, accompanied by sugar cubes and a decent jug of milk. I had a cream tea - the fruit scone was warm, soft and quite delicious, accompanied with a good sized dollop of jam and clotted cream. My other half had a (big!) slice of coffee and walnut cake; this was as good an example of this sponge cake as I have ever seen.We would seek this place out again if we were in the area.

Brilliant friendly cafe. Great toasties, super tea & outstanding cake. Check out the antique china with quirky teaspoons. Sublime.

Delicious toasted sandwiches and the cakes are out of this world. A lovely place to sit and chat in pleasant surroundings enjoying a nice hot cuppa of loose leaf tea and tasty food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely call again.

Simply the Best tea room in Long Melford, lovely surroundings, clean and well set out.Excellent menu choice Lovely helpful and polite staff. What more can I say EXCEPT WE WILL BE BACK and one other thing the Walnut cake was beautiful nice and moist.

One of the most stunning tea rooms I’ve visited. Wonderfully friendly staff, cozy ambiance and the most delicious selection of goodies! If visiting the area this is definitely worth seeking out. Can’t wait to return.

This place is amazing, the two women that run it could not have been nicer. My wife has a couple of dietary requirements and they catered for them.The food and drink was absolutely wonderful and very reasonable priced too.Next time I'm going for the afternoon tea as the table behind us has it and it looked delicious 😋

Took my mum and my daughter to Melford Tea Rooms on Saturday for my daughters 12th Birthday and we was all absolutely amazed, what a beautiful place, the cakes were incredible and the ladies were all so lovely, there was even a gentleman playing on the piano which was wonderful, we all had the best time and didn't stop talking about it for the rest of the weekend, we're already planning on going back soon. Thank you ladies so much for making my daughters birthday so special and for the cupcake with the candle, she had a great time as we all did X

I see it looked like we left one star I did not I have been to the Long Melford Tea Rooms manys times and would alaways give it Five Stars not One we love going there.Lovely Ladies that own it and food is always delicious..Do not know what happened with the stars sorry xx

Must visit place in Long Melford! What a change from the usual modern cafes, very relaxing, quirky interior and yummy food. Had toasted sandwich for breakfast as they don't do cooked english breakfast, that was best decision. Had space for cream tea too. Two ladies working there were very friendly, excepted our puppy to come in too.
