Long Melford Swan in Babergh

Lovely food, owner and staff really friendly who we had a great chat with! Will happily come back again soon

We visited the Swan for Sunday lunch and I have to say it was a lovely place to be we was welcomed by Louise who gave us our own private little room for our family dinner which was perfect!The food was amazing and nothing was ever to much for Louise she made sure we had drinks and never had a empty glass!The starters were amazing and my children ate all it up. The roast dinner was amazing and I can never stand a place who leaves things under a heat lamp for hours but with your dinner it was delicious everything was so fresh even the potatoes! Great portion of meat to!! Lastly I managed to save a little bit of room for desert and again was delicious!! No complaints at all!I even treated the husband to a cigar and will definitely be recommending you to others and returning.Thanks Grace and the family x

Best of it it's the atmosphere.Good place to drink and eat. However for the price there is better in Long Melford.Food had good presentation. Lacking a bit taste thou. Which you expect more for what you pay. Costumer service is a hit and miss. Never less I would return as for good atmosphere and vibes.

We went to lunch here - really lovely people and service. Also very dog friendly which is great. The food was excellent and freshly prepared - highly recommend! Great place.

Went for Sunday roast. Verdict...... absolutely fantastic. Great service and a fantastic meal will be definitely going back to try the rest of the menu during the week.

Amazing attentive staff. Great cocktails. The best steak I have ever tasted. Prices relate to quality. But not pretentious prices attall. Overall fantastic experience. Decor is tasteful

Amazing place. We stayed the night in an immaculately decorated and clean room. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and every staff member we came across was so polite and helpful. We will definitely be coming back in future and will certainly be recommending to friends and family. 5 stars!

It was a last minute decision to pop in here for some food and glad we did! We were seated straight away without a booking though I'm sure at really busy times you may not be so lucky! Really nicely decorated, clean, staff were really friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely eat here again 🙂.

Our visit was to Kentwell Hall on Friday 3rd December 2021 and decided to find a place to eat. We must say the Swan was the place to be. The venue was clean, bright and had a huge character about it. The food was exquisite hot and had a magnificent taste. This could easily have been a 5* London Hotel. If you want excellent service go no further. The manager was very welcoming and must give top marks to Oliver and Megan our servers what a credit to the restaurant, the owners but especially to themselves. If it was possible to give 10* we certainly would. Will definitely be back but next time to stay.WELL DONE ALLJohn and PatsyMaldon, Essex

This is a must visit place for eating and enjoyment. Hospitality at its best. The staff were extremely experienced and the newer members excellently trained.Sunday lunch was exceptional in presentation, quality and quantity. Full marks to the kitchen.With very attractive decor in all the various eating area and a large comfortable garden and dogs were welcomed.Average price for the area but excellent value for money in every respect.I will certainly go there again if I am in the area.
