What a great little golf course. Fantastic condition, steeped in history. Not the easiest to find your way round thoughThe last few holes are interesting to say the least as you share the tee with a major road. Very friendly people and service. Will definitely try and play their again.

A lovely course. Don't let yardage put you off, it may be short but it poses a fair number of challenges. Bunkers around the greens, and a few trees in close proximity to the fairway. Both front and back 9 are very different in their own respects. Beware of the roads on the back 9!It is one of the flattest courses I have played on, so it makes a great course to practice on.Twilight from 16.00 is just £22 or so.

Played the course today as a visitor, made very welcome by the friendly pro. The shop is very well stocked with some quality stuff! We were given some information about the front and back 9 which was very helpful. Even tho the chefs were busy they were still able to sort us out a bacon roll and a coffee which was very much appreciated. The course is in really good condition, greens immaculate. Really is a cracking course. Very friendly players and general public who cross the common land. Highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Newton Green see you again soon

First time we have since before Covid. The greens are excellent and the gorse has been cut back to make both bomb holes on the green playable for higher handicapers like me. Looking forward to coming again.

Course in excellent condition right from the first tee. Also nice to meet Tim again as I first met him when a member at Stoke- By - Nayland many years ago and he is doing just a great a job at Newton Green.🏌️

Terrible communication, I have phoned the office a few times over the past weeks and not been answered once. I decided to visit the golf club to try and get past this only to discover the office was locked and the blinds shut! A real shame seeing as I had just enjoyed a pleasant round of golf. The clubhouse itself did not improve my overall opinion, the outdated, tasteless decor is in desperate need of an update if they want to attract any of the younger generation.

Recently I visited the golf club for the first time and I hate to say but I had a terrible experience. After playing 18 holes, we retired to the club house for some well needed lunch. Well, we were asked to split up (my small friend group of 3), this didnt make any sense regarding current Covid rules. Lunch wasnt great. The club house was not tasteful and the decor was 50 years out of date. To encourage younger players you must seek to change this abysmal area.We then left and I was approached by a man who claimed he was a committee member who made an inappropriate comment about my skirt. We went to look for the manager and he was nor hither or there. We were told he was in his office but that was shut up, locked and the curtains closed.I later then tried to contact the manager at the club via Telephone. There was no answer, I have tried repeatedly to contact but nothing.I am very disappointed with the management at the club (not that there was any). I am waiting or some correspondence.

Beautiful golf course. Calm and serene. Lovely walk around. Nice members and friendly team of staff.

Probably the friendliest golf club we have visited. Our golf course at Colchester has been closed now for nearly 4 weeks due to the excessive rain so it was great to get out and play a game. 12 of us had the most incredible breakfast included in the price and the hospitality in the clubhouse was like a ray of sunshine. Well done everyone at Newton Green you do your club proud.
