"Painters Café is Sudbury’s best kept secret, set in a historic building opposite Gainsborough House. A warm and welcoming atmosphere greets you as you step into this owner run cafe. There is plenty of seating inside as well as a quaint sunny courtyard. Many ingredients are sourced locally including free range eggs. The menu offers breakfasts, daily specials and excellent coffees and cream teas and home baked cakes. Everything is always presented beautifully and prices are very reasonable. The cafe is also pet friendly."

Booked to eat here having seen it on FB.Very unimpressed with the menu. Who has fries with high tea of sandwiches and cake?Staff were fine. Not easy to find. Wouldn't go again.

Painters cafe is an excellent place to eat. I've never had a bad meal here. Lovely staff and the owners are always very welcoming.

Before going to this "wonderful" place, ensure you reserve a table because today they have put us at a table which had been reserved by someone else, and when that person arrived, we were politely kicked out as though we were some kind of trash rather than customers. I'm not going there ever again. Disgusting!

Quite surprised. You almost now have to book a table. Luckily there was a table available. Excellent gammon ham, eggs and chips also sausage beans and chips all home cooked. Cosy covered tea pot and a freshly made coffee. Will definitely be going back. Their all day breakfasts, and full afternoon tea looked amazing.

After struggling to find somewhere dog friendly that serves breakfast, we came across this gem! The staff were so sweet and the food was divine! Beautiful garden area, and overall this cafe was very cozy and had a very relaxed vibe! Jealous of those who live nearby

The owners here are amazing this is such a lovely place to brunch ☕. They have a lovely menu for brunch and a beautiful selection of cakes 🥧🍰. There are gluten-free and vegan options here to and the venue is stunning.
