The Brantham Bull in Babergh

A lovely atmosphere with a delicious menu - or rather menuS ! Friendly, helpful and having a couple of disabled folk on board this made all the difference. A great safe play area for the children with space for parents to be nearby.Easy access and clean well thought out disabled wc. Age 6 up to 90 thoroughly enjoyed their meal and we are already planning what to select next time 😀

SLOW SERVICE SPOILED A NICE AFTERNOON. Having had a nice walk along the beach a Wrabness, we decided to go for an afternoon drink. Having passed this pub on previous days out we thought we would try it as it looked like it had a nice location. We arrived at the Bull sat at a table in the garden ordered drinks at the window and waited for them to arrive, we waited and waited after 20 mins 3 drinks and 2 packets of crisps arrived. Later we ordered 2 more drinks and after 15 minutes felt the need to chase up the order only to be asked what we had ordered. WE LEFT and most likely will never return. What chance will anyone have if the garden gets busy. Totally appalling service.

Fantastic, well worth a visit but booking is recommended, friendly staff and a super chef. Meal was great.

We waited for 40 mins before we was given a menu which we had to ask for. The food was nice. They said they were busy with a 18th birthday party. No one came and said sorry for the wait..

Had a quiet night and meal out, staff very helpful and friendly, good beer a d highly recommended the Black pudding scotch egg starter

Very friendly staff, landlord and landlady are one of the most welcoming people i have met, would recommend the brantham bull, food excellent, scenery and views out the back are beautiful.

Called to book a table the morning of the Sunday we wanted to eat Sunday lunch. We were advised that we could only be accommodated at a table in the bar (which is dog friendly) which we accepted. When we arrived we were told there was a cancellation in the restaurant (which is not dog friendly) so we could sit in there after all which was a bonus. Having said that, when we saw the bar eating area we would have happily sat in there. Very little to choose between the two, both equally as nice! Warm welcome from bar staff on arrival and log fire alight so great start. A lot of the restaurant has fabulous views over the Stour estuary, although ours didn't, so I guess you have to specify a table with that facility if you want it when you book. Great menu but that's always subjective. Plenty we would choose anyway! Excellent service. Nice and prompt between courses without feeling rushed. Couldn't fault the food. Very tasty and very hot. Not expensive for what we received, very happy patron! Will certainly be going back.

Great meet up with friends for a beautiful Sunday lunch 9 of us and a baby, the food was delicious, staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for us.Good banter with the chef over beef and peas 🤣Even santa turned up, we had the best time.Merry Christmas to you all at the Brantham Bull, we will be back xx

Sunday Lunch today with a large family party, lovely roast dinner for the meat eaters, but no choice at all for vegetarians. One meal only and only one starter, couldn't even have the roast without the meat as the roast potatoes were cooked in the meat juices. Given that so many people no longer eat meat we would have expected something more than just a nod to their vegetarian customers.

Our first experience dining at the Brantham BullWow, what a lunch! The 3 of us ate here today after hearing lots of good things. We were not dissapointed, 2 of us had roast beef and the vegetable dodger opted for grilled skate wings.For once in my life I had food envy! The roast was so good but my brothers skate was amazing! I will definitely be ordering the fish upon my return!
