The George and Dragon Hotel Inn in Babergh

Had a two night stay here ,the place is a old building with original features which was lovely and quaint ,home cooked food was wonderful and sia ,Charlie and all the staff was so welcoming and helpful,thank you guys for a delightful stay x

With no disrespect it wasn't a gourmet meal BUT the atmosphere and customer service was great and we had 3 young kids in our party who were very noisy. Everybody in our group (12) had balloons and goody bags with party favours (noises and whistles) but all the staff took it in their stride. Many thanks to all.🙂

We booked a room here for a family member to stay in on the night of my wedding. The wedding was early and the hotel said they were unable to check in beforehand. However, they would not allow check in any later than 11:30pm. This is understandable so we arranged for a friend who was not attending the wedding to go and check in on their behalf. They would not allow this as they were not the person named on the booking. Therefore the said family member had to leave the wedding for an hour and incur taxi charges to check in and then return to the wedding.The staff member was rude and very unhelpful.We also had rooms booked at The Bull (Long Melford) and The Mill (Sudbury) where service was brilliant!

Rated 4 as did not sample food so can not comment. Place look nice friendly, beer was good, place clean , large enclosed garden, with some parking. Rooms also available.

Room was tired, and no tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely staff, great breakfast. Would stay again but would not recommend

Great food, friendly service and a nice pub garden to enjoy the great Bank Holiday weather in.

Went for a run out (as you do in your dotage 🤣) Popped in for lunch, our first visit and the lunch and hospitality just FANTASTIC Charlie and his wife Anastasia (the owners) were super friendly. Real homemade Hunters Chicken and Lasagne. WHOOP WHOOP See you both very soon 👍👍

Not a good experience service wise, we asked for 2glasses of wine and after bringing them to the table we were informed that the wine we requested was only sold by the bottle therefore extra expenditure was incurred. After a long wait we had to ask to order our food. The table's were not particularly socially distanced ,however the food was good.
