Stopped here for lunch during a longish journey. Bit pricier than we'd normally pay for a quick lunch stop but so, so worth it. Food was incredible. Great service too. Will go back if we're ever in the area again.

Excellent service, the staff are friendly. The food was fantastic. I had the quail to start with, and fish and chips for the main course. The chips are home made, from fresh potatoes and were really crispy. The wine is lovely. Overall a really nice meal and at a reasonable price.

Super last minute mini weekend break away. The staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We had a room in the outside building which has been renovated beautifully. Everything you need and spotlessly clean. With the Inn adjacent it was great as we were able to eat and have a drink with no worries of having to drive. The food....well that was just amazing brilliant meal and breakfast was just as nice. Can't speak highly enough we only went for a night but felt we had been away for much longer as so relaxing. Keep doing what you are doing as you have something special.

Absolutely perfect pub restaurant. Beautiful setting, first class food (8 people, 2 fussy eaters, 8 clean plates on all 3 courses. It was a miracle!) and excellent service. Cannot recommend more highly. From a wheelchair / limited mobility perspective, there are high steps to contend with both in and outside the pub, but in fairness I did not check thoroughly or ask as on this occasion as everyone was mobile. I hope there are options as no one should miss out here.

Honestly one of the loveliest, tastiest, most welcoming breaks we’ve ever had. The staff at The Peacock could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The food was truly extraordinary, so delicious and interesting with a fantastic wine menu. Our stay in one of the garden rooms was so comfortable and cosy. Thank you so much for a really unforgettable trip!

At the slightly more expensive end of B&B, but not off-puttingly so. Comfortable and clean room with some nice touches (table and seats right outside the room, lovely garden area shared with pub users). Breakfast was lovely

Visiting the area to see our daughters - went here today for sunday lunch. One of the nicest sunday roasts I have had for a very long time - lamb was fantastic - not cheap but well worth it. Staff were excellent also. Will be back very soon.

We had such a lovely, beautifully cooked meal here yesterday evening.Situated in the pretty Suffolk village of Chelsworth opposite a very pretty view over the river Brett. The Peacock Inn is definitely a good place to stay, eat or enjoy a drink in their lovely gardens. The interior of the Inn was beautifully finished and complemented this 700 year old building, although it could have been a bit warmer, but this was addressed with the starting of a fire in the Inglenook fireplace. We had crab tartlet and pigeon pate to start, chicken thigh Kiev, with comfit chicken breast, cauliflower cheese and cream potatoes and Sirlion Steak (beautifully cooked) with gorgeous chips and finished with an excellent cheese board and a Fondant chocolate pud. A beer, coke and coffee. All came to just under £100.I was informed that our beautifully cooked food was cooked by a Michelin trained chef, which I've no doubt is true. They have a few rooms to stay in overnight and I would assume these are very good if the restaurant is anything to go by.I'm glad they are open again and will be looking forward to dining there again.Well done Peacock Inn!

Great service staff front of house. Very good food. It is towards the expensive end of pub prices but the quality and portion sizes compensated well. The pricing is about right. The beer was excellent, I had moletrap. Very good off road parking to the front of the pub. A great experience was had by all four of us. Thank you the Peacock.
