The Red Lion in Babergh

Just wow. We were expecting the accommodation and food to be good, but The Red Lion exceeded what we were hoping for by a long way.The photos of The Little Barn on the website struggle to do the quality of everything any justice. The bed, the furniture, the paint on the walls, the cutlery and crockery, the wet room (big wow!)… all of it is well chosen, fit for the job, and nice to look at.And then the restaurant… a wonderful team, a comfortable and modern setting, and of course superb food.We are already trying to thing of excuses to stay and eat again.Thank you, Mandy, and well done to you and all involved. It’s a special place.

Only had lunch here, so can not testify to whole menu. What we had was really good ,most friendly welcome and good choice, will be back.

Great ambience, food and service! Lovely, just lovely!

Lunch on a Thursday. Charming welcome, friendly and efficient team. The meal was a pleasure (spinach soup - delicious; and cod and chips with mushy peas - first rate). The tables are well spaced (Covid) and the washrooms were spotlessly clean and tidy. A happy find.

Had a nice mid-week meal here recently. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. The service was friendly but at times a little slow.

A wonderful atmosphere, great food, the service was exemplary from the staff, would highly recommend a visit!

We went for christmas lunch. Food was excellent & service very friendly! Have been several times before. Everytime food is exquisite & you know you are always getting the best quality food ever.
