Attended a private function here last week room was cosy and welcoming not like a large cold hall. Would recommend to others

Very nice pub, We just had a drink but it was lovely and clean. All facilities were excellent and so were the staff.

Nice friendly pub staff, great choice of beers, wines and spirits. Great for a quick sandwich or even a nice meal.

Whilst the decor is not necessarily the most 'pub like/cosy' we popped in on the off-chance for lunch as the pub we had intended to go to was closed. Best decision we've made, the food was excellent. Bit of a wait for it but worth it. Will hopefully be back

Went here for a dear friends wake.. it was really lovely. Staff were lovely . Nice selection of drinks. Not sure if they catered the food but that was amazing..

Was there for 2 wakes recently and the staff were great, friendly and helpful. There was a nice range of buffet food that was replenished when needed. Tea and coffee was available to refill ourself and the small private bar open for the wake guests too. The private room was lovely and clean.

The Gun catered for the wake for a close family member. There was a big variety of different buffet foods and the cakes were delicious. All wonderfully fresh and displayed.

Food was very nice. Staff were friendly and very accommodating, we had a group of over 30 and a separate room was organised for us all. We had no disturbances from the rest of the pub which was great having children in the group.

Sunday Dinner. My wife and I went to the Gun as we had passed it several times and read the rave reviews. We turned up and entered the pub when everyone turned to stare at the newcomers. Very uncomfortable. We went into the restaurant and our order was taken quickly. Waited about 45 minutes to arrive. I had the roast chicken which was very dry and tough, suspect frozen roasted potatoes, tough Yorkshire Pudding and a small selection of veg. My wife had the minted lamb shank which had no mint. She asked twice for no peas and the waitress repeated it. When her meal arrived...loads of peas. The decor is very odd. Crystal chandeliers (which had more blown bulbs than lit ones) and modern lighting. The walls were marked and the carpet looked like it needed to be steam cleaned. Curtains were a throw back to the 50's with tie backs that restricted your ability to eat. Will we go back? Think you know the answer.
