Darby Digger in Basildon

I took my son and his girlfriend to The Darby Digger. My son hasn’t had a roast dinner in 4 years and his girlfriend has never had a roast dinner in a restaurant. None of us were disappointed.We were made to feel very welcome, food was great & we weren’t rushed although it was Father’s Day.I eat there fairly regularly. Came in on Sunday for dinner with the family and friends everything was spot on! Greeted and sat down straight away by the very friendly and welcoming man at the host station and was provided with brilliant service by the wonderful Chloe, such assets to your team!Food was brilliantly cooked and all came out in decent time.Will be back again soon! Thank you for making our day enjoyable

Becoming a bit of a regular here. Staff are always accommodating and helpful. Only ever have the vegetarian carvery which at £4.99 is fantastic and mostly good. Timing can be off on occasion and have to wait for items to be replaced but unless you're a complainer understand there is only so much food you can cook at one time!

Had a lovely large carvery with my better half. A lovely young man...I think his name was Adam...served us. lovely smile and very welcoming. Polite and tended to our needs. Will definitely be returning as food was good and awesome service

I went for a family birthday meal (party of 8) and the food was very nice, lovely carvery and burgers and pizza were also very nice. We could not fault anything, as the service was also very good and we were not rushed as we were given 3 hours at the table. We would highly recommend the food and staff were great. We will definitely be returning!

I came in today for lunch and had a lovely experience. I was approached as soon as I came in with a smile and asked if I would like to have drinks or dinner. Asked if I had any allergies which was really good and all staff friendly and helpful. The guy who is serving the meat I believe his name was Sam. He was very polite and helpful and ask if there’s anything else I would like.The meal was fresh and very tasty roast potatoes and meat were exceptional today would definitely recommend becoming again

My wife and I are regular visitors to the Darby Digger and decided to go for dinner her on Valentines. We were served by Zenia and Chloe who could not do enough for us. They were very genuine people, very approachable, and Zenia in particular went the extra mile for us. The food, as ever, was top class and we are looking forward to our next visit. Went this Sunday for a roast, food was hot, tasty and portions very generous, nothing too much trouble for the staff with them even offering to take our order .Highly recommended as excellent value for money.

Our family always meet up here for a family roast. The food is lovely, the chef's do a great job with providing a good choice of meats and a good selection of vegetables. The food is very reasonably priced. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. Will look forward to our next visit.

We attended Darby Digger for dinner yesterday and again today for their children’s Halloween party. The staff are warm and friendly. It’s a welcoming environment. The manager and employee, Sydney, are extremely friendly people. They were kind and generous with their time with the children and even kindly offered food, drinks and sweets!It was obvious they did this in hope to give the children a great time rather than to gain thanks.I took my two twin toddlers and felt they were safe, happy, and had fun with others.I could not recommend this venue enough to others.Thank you once again to the whole team! :)
