Fish'n'Chick'n in Basildon

I thought I would treat my mum to an oap special (unfortunately nothing special about it) I used to use this chip shop always as great staff free parking. But this time something went wrong! chips cold and fish hard and dry and a very small portion compared to last time! really disappointed no treat for mum. 😞

My family ate from here, me and my 2 children had battered sausages my partner didnt, the sausages were from a frozen bag of battered sausages which I thought was weird anyway, and me and my children were very ill for 2 days after (both ends) . Will never order from here again.

Fish is generally cooked very well, although the new Hake is always overcooked and dry.

Chips cut on the premises. Fish variety of sizes &types pies variety. Nice staff. Short walk to free parking. There's something about the oil they use that's really good! Various offers to look out for. They're on various apps but prioritise walk-in customers. Five star clean behind the counter. Worth driving to. In small shopping arcade so not visible from casual drive past but brightly lit. off licence nearby.

Just bought kids saveloy chips & small cod chips. Cod very dry, would say its been cooked for a long while and saveloy could have been used as a chisle as was so hard, only good for one thing - the bin.

Excellent. High quality fish and chips. The best in the area. Highly recommend.

I done an order through just eat, and unfortunately they didn't have one item, fish n chick called me to apologise, they were really apologetic on the phone, I said that's fine and chose something else, they then advised they would add a couple of more things for free to my order, and boy did they we got more than anticipated free from them. Thanks fish n chick, we love your food always hot, and tastes so good. In my eyes you guys went above and beyond what was expected well done you've definitely got a returning customer, not for what you done, but your food is always awesome. And excellent customer service, really appreciated the call

It was a birthday party and the children really loved it. Staff members were friendly. There's loads of parking available.
