French Martini in Basildon

Had a blast here, met so many interesting people, great music,not much forward dance floor but my friends and I created our own, we literally closed the place, great clean fun.

Top quality food. Coffee very good and nice and hot. Breakfast was superb, really good presentation, service was great. I had the bubble with eggs and parma ham and asparagus. Excellent. 👍👍

Owner can't do enough for customers. Very accommodating. Staff are friendly and cocktails are fab.

I had a Christmas party last night with @envy_aerial_arts and we went to frenchmartinibillericayIt was definitely an experience…….We booked the table for 7:30pm and pre-ordered our meals. Our starters arrived at 9pm. We had to repeatedly ask for our food.In the meantime I ordered water and had to ask three times for it. I was buying a drink too so it’s not like I was being tight, I just wanted water.The dance floor opens at 9pm which is conveniently where our table was situated, knowing this they still served our food at 9pm. Whilst trying to eat, we had people grinding in our faces.It was also freezing and I was hungry so I ordered a hot chocolate which looked nice but was watery.When our food finally arrived it was ok, however my friend is wheat intolerant and allergic to mushrooms. They brought her out normal bread with her soup. So not only did she have to wait until she dropped a dress size to actually eat it, it was just liquid. These requirements were given to French martini months in advance. They also served mushroom with her steak after specifically saying she’s allergic causing her to not eat the vegetables provided. And yet again they provided wheat in her dessert.The risotto rice was solid and when sent back they stated it was meant to be like that as it is ‘alla dentty’. Al dente means ‘with a bite’ not with a jaw breaking crunch. This was remade which means our party are seperately also causing our desserts delay.The dessert was chocolate orange tart, however the orange must have been forgotten and replaced with cement as it was a workout to eat. If I knew this I would not have woken up early to go to the gym. No one ate their chocolate orange tart.There was no offer of any sort of compensation to accommodate for the shocking standards which left the person who arranged it feeling upset. We were given shots but most of us were designated drivers.I did not appreciate the wait for low quality food, although the duck croquettes were divine. The service was poor and the lay out was diabolical.When we finally went on the dance floor it had a leaky ceiling, so this was ruined.Everything was poor and it was a complete let down.

Such a cosy and calming vibe… went there last night with friends to celebrate my 25th and the bar staff and waitresses were so kind and we had a nice chat with the manager who gave us a free birthday cake with a sparkler! The food was really good, loved the burger! Would 100% go there again and highly recommend it to anyone else considering going here!

Had a fabulous lunch today of Monkfish. Absolutely delicious and the attention to detail and taste was amazing. Would certainly visit again and recommend it.

Had a great afternoon lunch/ tea...really good service and plenty of food and good selection of beverages and drinks.Good selection of sandwiches/savoury/sweets in addition you can order of the brunch menu which again is extensive..will be going again for sure
