This wasn't the usual restaurant experience as it was a buffet following a funeral service. There was an excellent variety of sandwiches, chicken quiches etc. and it was all very tasty. The tea and coffee was replenished frequently and the staff were very helpful.

It turns out that Tuesday night is buy 1 get 1 free on burgers and pizza. Can't speak for the pizza, but the, "big boy" burgers that we had were excellent... The chips were freshly cooked, the beer (3 cask ales on! Wow!) Was wonderful and my 20 year old son was happy with his esoteric Old Mout Cider! I must also comment on the service, which was welcoming and friendly from the start and continued in this manner until we left, replete and determined to return! Really very good! Recommended.

First visit here. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Efficient service from lovely waitresses. My wife enjoyed her generous portion of liver and bacon but my haddock and chips wasn't.t the best piece of fish I've had.

Had a delicious Sunday lunch - service was so so.... a the hostess barked at us when we arrived and we had to chase drinks - but the food was OUTWTANDING! Such great roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings for a pub lunch. Good portion of beef also.

Went with friends for the evening.Choice of Beers was ok as was the wine.I had the Calamari starters which was good. For mains I had the Blue Cheese Burger which took for ever to turn up and the waitress, who was charming, twice told me the dish would be along soon. When it did arrive it was almost cold and the burger overcooked. The vegetables which accompanied my wife’s dish was stone cold. I would say between ordering and the main course we waited almost two hours. The food itself was nothing special but reasonably priced. On the plus side the waitresses are very pleasant and helpful.

Really bad breakfast unfortunately. Wasn’t cooked properly, and was Luke warm. Took ages to come out and there was only 2 other tables. No words of welcome, no smiles. Bad customer service and bad food. Such a shame as last time I came about a Year ago here was excellent and staff were amazing.

Sorry but not very happy, my daughter booked for sunday lunch for 5 today 2/1/22.When we walked through the door the first thing we encountered was a foul smell, we were shown to our table and the smell was still there, we were given a small menu but lots of dishes were missing but we made the best of it and ordered a starter and we all ordered the roast beef, the starters were fine but the main coarse was dire, the beef was ok but the rest of it was not so good, the veg was hard and looked like it had been cooked hours before, the roasties were hard to cut and the yorkies were burn't, we had to ask for condiments as we were not offered any,and all the while we were having our lunch we had the terrible foul sewage smell under our noses, i did ask the waitress about it and her answer was she couldn't smell anything because she was wearing a mask, so no desserts for us, we paid the bill and left.
