Nando's in Basildon

I did not like the "rainbow" salad....it was coleslaw without mayo but smothered in grains. Very small quantity for the price. My son left his, I ate mine because I was hungry. The pitta bread chicken was ok though.When I asked for cutlery our young female server pointed and told me "its over there!" Baring in mind I had witnessed her & a colleague standing in front of the food rack chatting away while many plates waited to go to tables. We were not familiar with the self-service & would have taken her only a moment to get them. Glasses were given to us to get our own drinks and the food was brought over.Not been to Nandos before and won't be rushing to return. A "Do it yourself" restaurant that is over priced imo.

Kelsey was the hostess with the mostest. Service with a (genuine) smile and with the standard of food good, I couldn't ask for more...except for the carrot cake to be back on the menu.31st May update: still clucking good

Great location at the Basildon Festival Park and next to the Cineworld cinema. So popular that you often have to wait for a table. Staff efficient . Food is always good with a good range of combinations.

Amazing customer service. Went here with a friend and we were seated in the centre of the restaurant at a 2 person table. I told the server I struggle to eat around noise and he was so accommodating. Sitting us in a corner and coming over to check whether the seating was ok and the noise low enough for me to have my meal comfortably. The food was hot and delicious. Very accommodating to my needs and nothing was too much. Well done to the team at this restaurant. Went above and beyond.

Can't really ever go wrong with a Nandos. This is the sunset burger and it was my first time having it. Delicious burger and would highly recommend it.

My experience at this nandos wasn't the best. We ordered using the QR code and did so in separate transactions. I never usually have a problem using this as its a quick and efficient way of getting food.What I couldn't explain is how I was the last to order and got my order first, and my two friends orders hadn't come until we were asked by a member of staff, if we had received our order.I feel the main problem though wasn't about the length of time it took to get the order, it was that the hygiene standards were not being practiced, as I found a hair in the cream for the cake I ordered.It's a bit disappointing as I usually don't have any issues with coming here.

This Nando’s literally never has any PERi-PERi salt ever.I’ve ordered several times recently, they’re not even on the chips either. I always pay for extra and it’s still missing. Nando’s food is fine overall, however part of Nando’s experience is the salt. Where’s all the salt gone?

We were given our sharing starter for 3 people with only 2 lots of cutlery, with no plates when I asked for the 3rd lot and some plates the girl looked like she was going to cry at the thought of doing some work. I asked for some salt as as you can see it came it a plastic pot as they didn't have any actual salt shakers. Nothing to do with covid because they have the bottled condiments out being used.Lunch arrived again no cutlery, and when I did ask the girl did however point out that we had cutlery which was the dirty lot from the starters... not sure why were would be expected to use dirty cutlery, maybe Its just me expecting to much wanting to eat with a clean knife & fork.It used to be that you got your own which was clearly much easier for the staff then walking it over to customers who had the audacity to want to eat with clean cutlery.The whole experience isn't one I'd want to endure ever again at this Nando's.Dirty restaurant, floors were filthy & expected to eat with dirty cutlery all for the cost of nearly £60 and ignorant waitresses.

Consistency at its finest yet again. Order consisted of grilled halloumi (must have) sweet potato wedges (must have) and boneless chicken thighs with the new bbq mayo sauce. Always happy with my visit.

Wagamama offered raw chicken so I come over here....First visit at Nando'sWaiter service was spotless.Food was well made and very tasty. Love the sauces 😋 Portion was a bit smaller than I expected .
