Taste of China in Basildon

Just placed an order and was told an hour for deliver. Called after 65 minutes asking for an update. Told it will be another 20 minutes. Called after 20 minutes as still not arrived and told out for delivery. Now nearly 2 hours on and still no food. Worst service I have experienced. But to be fair when the food finally did arrive it was good but not worth a 2 hour wait

Customer service superb and kung po chicken and salt chilli ribs are the greatest dishes

Over priced £24.50 for small amount of food..Dont order ribs they are in oxo gravy and extremely salty...the batter on the chicken balls is so dry and the chicken tough..Noodles are vermicelli so be cautious wont order from.here again

Very professional service both in food order and delivery, good size portions great tasting and fresh, orders have always been correct.

My favourite take away. Crispy shredded chilli beef is the absolute best!

I’ve ordered from here twice and both times they have forgotten part of my order. They also included egg in my vegan chow mein… very disappointing.

Food is OK, nothing amazing. The bad points are they have no idea how to manage orders and its getting worse as the months go by. Recent experience has been waiting over an hour half for collection. Try somewhere else as they don't deserve your custom.

This was my first time trying this. I ordered king prawn curry and special fried rice. The prawns was inedible, they was chewy and watery. The curry taste ok, nothing great. The special fried rice was bland, and tasteless. I wouldn't recommend this Chinese.

We have used this take away for years it has had its up and downs , however over the past few months we have had used Taste of China every other week and it has been brilliant every time x we have just eaten fillet steak Cantonese was nice and tender and Billy Kee chicken you have to try this. Keep up the good work would hate to have to go elsewhere.

I ordered a Taste of Canton set menu to be delivered home. What's has been delivered I could only describe as absolutely the worse Chinese cooking I have ever experienced in my life. I can't even describe how bad it was - terrible strange smell from all sauces, everything was greasy and tested like it was prepared from old ingredients in a old dirty kitchen. We needed up throwing away everything they delivered (we paid for it £24) and driving to a local supermarket to buy food. Avoid at all costs!!
