Gorgeous fish served fresh cannot fault it ...........but staff need to be more friendly and less frosty x

If you like nice fish and chips trust the customers that have giving just one star or if they could no stars. I called them to tell them what I thought of their batter for the fish and the chips they had just served to me. I had taken the package back home for lunch and as soon as I opened the box it was obvious to see the the chips were like they had been reheated from the day previous batch. Most people like twice fried chips but that's normally on the same fry. So they were dry and stale. The batter mostly fell off the fish and I do not know how the rest hung on for where it was sodden wet with oil. I simply do not know how down-to-earth Laindon people put up with this.Large cod and small chips just shy of 10 sovs so families beware.Just to add when you call to complain you will waste your time as well as you're hard earned money. The language you can receive can be colourful. I will say I ate the cod because I normally waste nothing but the batter is in the bin . I have retrieved the box now and I can only show these chips where they clung to the box the rest are with the batter, binned where it belongs. New shops I have never been to I will be trying the chips before I buy , never done that or even better check them reviews saves taken out and taking straight back if as awful this meal.Update even though I have put this to bed after thinking that I might help other people on here, I just seen this notification on my phone in answer to my review.I should have gone and got my money back in person in the shop after I bought the goods in the shop in person but experiencing what the staff are like when they answer the phone and the colourful language I just knew that I would have aggro in a public place that is why they have so many cameras in the shop they are used to it.What a nonsense pathetic reply. Why would anybody want the food replaced if you cannot get it right the first time you're just going to get the same chips and batter from from an amateur fish and chip fryer.Just don't open yourself up for this. I didn't even want to give this place a 1 star but if I didn't I couldnt write how disgusting and filthy the food was that me and my partner waited for. It took 45minutes for it to come and when it did my chips were mouldy looking, bruised, green and chewy. My savaloy that I ordered was gritty and hard inside, I wouldn't even feed it to my dog, I had to throw the whole lot in the bin, absolutely disgusting! If I could upload the photos I would.

This is the place to order from if you want to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes and make constant chasing calls for luke warm fish and chips and only 2 buttered rolls instead of 4. Was recommended this "chippy", I should have realised things would go from bad to worse as it took 3 attempts to hear the numbers on my card, was surprised that they said it would take an hour to deliver some 3.5 miles away but okay it was Saturday night! 3 chasing calls later and the delivery lady getting lost (despite giving details of where our house was), we then spent another 15 minutes warming the delivery up again. Still like that old "Who" song "we won't get fooled again" and I strongly suggest that unless you want a repeat of the above you give this service a very wide berth!!

Had fish and chips for two tonight had it delivered was warm not hot at all and the chips looked like they had been cooked twice and it was late didn't enjoy it at all

I don’t like tiger bread and was told there wasn’t any normal rolls even though I could see them. REPLYING TO YOUR REPLY : I could see them and I have had normal rolls many times from there I just feel like they didn’t care and gave me whatever

My lunch time order was absolutely beautiful! Food was amazing! Think it's really good how they deliver throughout the whole afternoon and the evening as well! Delivery time was excellent and such a polite driver. Highly recommend ordering from here! Thank you :)

Lovely food the fish is always so tasty and hot and the chips are good too. My nanna will only have fish and chips from here as nowhere else does the fish so nice. Savloys and battered sausage are delicious too! The service for us has always been extremely fast.

The first experience was amazing. Fish was cooked beautifully and arrived on time (we ordered early). Second time we were still waiting after an hour and phone calls were not picked up. (We ordered for peak time delivery). All of which leads me to believe they need more delivery drivers!

We had large rock and chips, large cod and chips, ribs and chicken. It was delicious and knocked spots off fish n, chicken. The chip portion was great and they were some of the best chips we have had, both in portions size and taste. Highly recommend and will be going again soon. Wish I had taken a picture.
