Turned up just as the breakfast menu had finished, the guy in charge of tables said he would squeeze us in as we had just missed it. Glad he did because the breakfast was lovely. Waitresses provided a nice service too. I think we are going to.go more often.Waistband permitting

Food was ok for harvester shame you can't do your on salad now we had a good waiter but not expressed with young waitress leaning all over salad bar she would have been better picking up a broom and sweeping floor all tho the food was ok I felt the pub could do with a good clean around the legs of the tables were thick dust and above my head was a massive cobweb not good for buisness

Straight away your welcomed with a smiling young lady, we didn't pre book and was asked to wait at the bar, within 5 minutes a table was available. Ordered mixed grill and steak meal. Salad was served by another happy member of staff, food was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately there wasn't enough room for dessert.Highly recommended venue,,,,,Definitely will return.

Seated and order taken quickly. We had booked ahead. Food came quite quickly after we had finished eating what we had been helped to select from the salad bar. Simply chicken option was acceptable but the peas and green beans could have been cooked just a little longer. The jacket potato was perfect. My partner had the Cajun chicken wrap. Although he enjoyed his food he said the wrap was a little dry and crispy. Maybe warmed for too long?Dessert was apple and blackberry crumble with ice-cream/custard. First desserts were served soon after ordering but were not very hot. The waitress took them away with an apology and brought back fresh desserts, very hot this time. For me, they were the best part of the meal. Cooked to perfection and very tasty. There was a little bit of drama between two customers, who got up to walk out, and a waiter. The manager (I am assuming that's who it was) dealt with the situation quickly and calmly.Although the government has said all restrictions have been lifted it is reassuring to see that social distancing is still in place in some areas of the restaurant, especially the seating areas. However, there was a waitress coughing, one of the reasons given for the customers walking out, who I overheard say that she was nervous and that's why she was coughing. If this is the case she should have been asked to wear a mask, as should those members of staff who get close to customers whilst taking orders. Having had CoVid and being extremely ill with a long recovery time, it is understandable that I feel so strongly about distancing still.A visit to the Five Bells hasn't happened since before the first lockdown so it was nice to return. The menu has lots to choose from and is value for money. The place holds special memories because it's where myself and my partner spent time together on our first date over 5 years ago...

If you've been to a harvester before, you know what you're getting. Food tends to be heated rather than cooked fresh, meat probably being the exception. The menu is varied with lots of veggie options. Staff here are, in my experience, friendly and attentive, prices are not unreasonable.

We visited today as it was 50% of Adult mains. The food was really good - all hot, nothing missing, tasted amazing, all sauces offered!I am mainly writing a review today because of our waitress, Kate. Firstly the manager saw us to our table and told us who we should expect, which was nice. Kate was so attentive, we waited for nothing! she took our drinks order and returned almost straight away with them. Managing to check in with every other table as she came back and forth. She offered us the salad bar- when it was just rolls we were having she let us stay at the table and she went to get them herself. She was bubbly and polite the whole time. Honestly you just don’t seem to get experiences like this much more these days! we’ve been to other Harvesters and different restaurants recently and staff just seem to do the bare minimum but not Kate today! She made our experience so comfortable, easy and allowed us to sit back and enjoy our meal so much more. So thank you!

Had a lovely experience at this harvester today, usually just have a standard experience at other harvesters. Our waiter Aaron (believe that was his name, young man) was amazing, very polite and helpful.I had the bird, surf and turf, and it was lovely. I’ve had it before but whoever cooked this done a perfect job! Compliments to the chef!We arrived at 7pm and was able to get a table. And all the staff was very smiley and welcoming and it felt like a safe place to eat.My partner and I both left saying that was the best time we had being at a harvester.

We had a lovely meal here. Was impressed with the food after having some negative experiences at other harvesters. The service was friendly and efficient. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Refillable soft drinks is always plus.Thoroughly enjoyed and will go back.

Fantastic night. Brilliant food and wonderful staff. Everything was very, very clean and.it wasn't packed at all. Myself and my friends weren't rushed to finish meals or to order more drinks....we were left alone to catch up and enjoy our time together. It was a completely relaxing and memorable evening. It felt almost normal in these current Covid conditions. Thanks so much Harvester 😊
