The Watermill in Basildon

Stayed at many Premier Inn/ Beefeater combinations. Without doubt this is the worst Beefeater I have experienced.Last time (about a year ago) I had rib eye steak which was full of gristle and badly cooked.Today I went for something safe - fish and chips. Terrible error. Fish soggy, mushy peas cold - chips okay though.Complaints ignored. Offered same meal as replacement. Why would I want rubbish replaced by same rubbish.Next time I am in the area I will steer well clear of this place. Bring on deliveroo etc if I must stay at East Mayne Premier Inn.

Had a wet room l am disabled so that was good for me.could do with some wet rooms nearer the frount doors.they were quite away down the corridor. Also you had to go outside to go across to the pub to eat no food on site.so if raining you would get very wet.were the rump was it was a lock door you had go round the front up in a lift outside again not good.It would help if disabled people were involved it design. We had already changed from the festival premium inn.The 1 or2 rooms with a wet room was a long way from front door. Also not one of the internal doors l could open only the front door did open automatically for me.

First time here. Food was really good but the service is great ! Server daisy was so lovely and always had a smile. Will definitely be back soon :) great atmosphere too

The waitresses were rushing me to get breakfast before 11am. They forgot my order and said they thought I said 1 breakfast when I had my kids with me. They were loud and spoke badly. We had to eat cold pancakes with honey not syrup. It was not a very nice experience at all. I will not go back there.

Lovely birthday meal , first time trying rib eye steak and wasn't disappointed. Banoffee sundae was gorgeous. Staff so helpful, and friendly, nothing a bother.

It's what you would expect from a captive audience next to a Premier inn. you can get far better for the same money if you get out of the hotel. Try the Deniz restaurant in the center of Basildon. Its a Turkish restaurant. Awesome

Really good place and really good atmosphere. Very child friendly as well. Staffs were helpful and always a smile on their face. Food( breakfast) was really good and was very easily accessible for everyone. I definitely recommend this place.

Only ate breakfast for the 2 days we were there, but found the experience good.Well laid out continental breakfast selection, cooked breakfast was fine, but personally think need to add fried bread to the options.Think a return to the buffet style instead of table service would also improve the experience. Staff were very attentive.

Had a large family meal there today. Service was great, waitress was lovely and chatty serving food that was hot and tasty. Some items not available due to lack of drivers and deliveries not the fault of the restaurant. would recommend a visit to others
