Wickford Cafe Restaurant in Basildon

Good food and a small sheltered pavement area to sit outside and dine.Food and service exceptionally good. We visited on two occasions recently. One visit we both fish and chips with the usual trimmings mushy peas etc. Good tasty fish, though a processed cod portion.On our second visit one of us had a chicken salad, that was amazingly good particularly the marinated freshly cooked chicken chunks. It will be hard to beat the flavour.I had a taste and remain envious.My choice was Gammon Ham with chips, beens and egg. It was well presented, beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection.The staff are cooperative,jolly making you feel welcome.Visit and enjoy the service and that which is on offer, it will be well worthwhile.Enjoy.

Came here today with family and had the most amazing lunch, the people were so friendly and made us feel so welcome and the food was lovely ...Thank you for everything.... You don't know how special you are x

Good food and good value cafe.

Really nice food and good quality, did for get some of my boyfriends extra on he's breakfast but was soon rectified, again really nice food but quite expensive.

Excellent place to eat, good food and service.

I had a lovely lavazza cappuccino and a bacon roll, hubby had croque madam and tea. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty and we'll definitely return.

Anyone who has the courage to open on New Year 's day deserves success, great food and decent people serving and cooking it. A popular place and rightly so.

What value for money this place is..I had a breakfast so generous with their portions . and such down to earth friendly staff..lots of seating area..I'll be going back
