Zara Indian Takeaway in Basildon

Ordered in their app at 6.40pm took nearly 2 hours to arrive. Defeats the point of a delivery service.

We've been getting takeaways and delivery's from zara for a couple of years and haven't been to any other Indian restaurant since. Its so consistently good and the service from all members of staff is absolutely faultless. We feel lucky to have zara so close to home.

First time I ordered from zara the food had great flavours throughout and was delivered earlier than the estimated time was also still piping hot defenately one of the best Indians in and around the area.... Happy customer from Arne court

Lovely, friendly and accommodating service and the best lamb tikka biryani I've ever ordered! Meal delivered hot and on time, all with reasonable prices. Definitely would recommend as the best local takeaway service to the Langdon Hills/ Laindon area.

3/10 Deliveries were correct.....7 Wrong Deliveries.....When I contacted the shop it was my fault!!No discountWouldn’t redeliver the correct order...I ended up going down the shop, threw the order in his face behind the counter...Will Never Ever go back....

Delivery is fast and professional. Best Indian take-away in Basildon. Food is always awesome and the portions are huge.

I gave this takeaway a couple of chances but I won't be ordering again. I ordered via their own website which was nice and easy but when I got there to collect, they had no record of the order despite me having an email confirmation and my online banking showing so.I had to then wait ten minutes in the takeaway for them to cook it again and when I got home the poppadum's were missing. £30 for two people for a normal amount of food is too pricey to be making mistakes. The Indian on hoover drive is much better.

Long time user of Just eat but today was the first and last time I order from this restaurant. The meal arrived extremely early which my partner was thrilled with because he was famished. I sat down to enjoy my meal straight from the container (to save on washing up!) and found a small blonde hair hanging from the chicken I was about to eat. Unfortunately at this point my partner had half eaten his meal. I immediately contacted the restaurant to inform them there was a hair in my butter chicken and they suggested a replacement. I was no longer happy with the prospect of eating their food so asked if my meal could be refunded as my partner had eaten most of his. They stated for a refund the whole meal must be returned so I scrapped his back into containers and chucked the lid on mine. They happily collected the food and the driver completely agreed that he would not eat from a place when hair was on the menu. My partner contacted Just Eat and proceeded to ask about a refund. He found out that as the food was contaminated that he must provide photographic evidence; I evidently did not do this! We are currently awaiting a refund if this ever happens......(silly I know!) A thoroughly frustrating and disappointing experience all round. I've not eaten but Just Eat have taken my money. We await a faceless response system that you cannot get a contact number for and hope for a refund if it ever happens.

Very good Indian takeaway near Laindon Station. Varied menu choice, speedy service and friendly staff. The offer of a free side dish if spending over a certain amount is a nice touch. Quality of food never disappoints and portions are always plentiful. Would highly recommend.

Very good quality takeaway. Food is generally of a very high standard. However, on our last visit the quality wasn't as it is usually and a dish was way too spicy even after requesting medium hot. This was probably due to how busy they were and a slight oversight by the chef. That said it spoilt one of our families meal.
