Beautiful food here, staff are lovely and treat you like family

Had a friend's birthday there. Honestly, some didn't like it but I'm not writing a review for them. I loved it.The food was good, I liked the atmosphere, nice Greek songs, and I really liked both the lamb and the grilled chicken.With a warning that some friends did not love it, I'd definitely suggest the place.

The place is very cosy the owner and the waiter like a family member very friendly and the food I van recommended 100 % absolutely amazing very fresh I will back thank you x

The food was really delicious and it had a great atmosphere. The only issue we had was it was a long time before someone asked if we wanted the bill nut this is probably because the are running with a Skelton staff at the moment. Overall an excellent experience, just call before you bookto make sure they'll be open and able to fit you in.

The first time we went it was great. The second time ... They don't do non-alcoholic beers. The waiter didn't understand our order for humus and taramasalata to start and brought us humus and tsatsiki; this problem was quickly rectified. My stifado main was fine but my partner's vegetarian moussaka (the waiter kept asking if we wanted vegetarian lasagne which wasn't on the menu but we insisted on vegetarian moussaka which was) was cold on the inside. We sent it back. After ten minutes the chef appeared but by then I had nearly finished my main so my partner decided to move straight to desserts. But the service was so slow (there were two other tables eating) that we gave up waiting got the bill and went home.

A warm welcome awaits each guest as does an excellent Greek meal. Service was great throughout and the meze is a real delight. 6 cold starters, 6 hot starter plates and 2 mains. All the food is well cooked and tasty. Get yourself down to Athena Palace

Gone downhill. Have gone there for several years beforehand but something was different this time. As soon as my party arrived and sat down the lady came and asked for payment effectively. I felt unsettled for the rest of the night because I felt that we didn’t have the freedom that we should have had. They served us mattessons sausage which is a bit of a joke. I’m greek myself and I know that it wasn’t what they said it was (Greek sausage). They were charging restaurant prices for supermarket brand lemonade out of the bottle. The staff seemed stressed the whole time and we were reluctant to ask for anything even though we were allowed to. The food was alright. Sadly won’t be returning though.

We managed to get a fabulous deal on groupon but this place is great value any way. The food is always beautiful and plentiful. We would highly recommend eating here. The staff are very friendly. Apparently it gets extremely busy when they have entertainers

I celebrated my 50th here and had a truly amazing night. The food was delicious and more than enough. My mum is on a gluten free diet and also only like a plain food and she was able to choose what she wanted and they went out of there way to specially make her a prawn cocktail for starters. The staff were so friendly and helpful and welcoming. I would recommend Athena Palace 100%.

Had a fantastic Meze here last night with the Groupon deal for 2 people. Food was lovely and fresh, very tasty! The only fault we had was slow to clear away plates at the end. I would 100% return and recommend to anyone. Also surprised by Greek entertainment at the end on the night.
