Decent reputation. Nice polite staff and manager who took care to talk to all diners. For me just not enough variety on the menu and I'd struggle to choose something different if I went back. Also minor point but I'm not tall ( 5'10 ) and couldn't get comfortable on the chairs without banging my knees on the table.

Food was pretty good, i had lamb shank which was nice. My wife and her grandmother both had sea bass, which they both enjoyed. However our daughter is vegan and there was literally nothing on the menu for her. Even the vegetarian platter had cheese on all the dishes despite being marked in the menu as vegan. They tried to help, but she ended up getting plain rice, salad and sautéed mushrooms...not really a meal, just three things thrown together. Service was a bit on the slow side, had to go to the bar after 20 minutes to pay. All in all a little disappointing, especially after previous good visits.

Went for a birthday meal out. The staff were so kind to my family and our dog and went out of their way to make the visit special. The food was incredibly tasty and definitely worth another visit.

An an work colleague and I have dined here each month for some years. We have always been made very welcome. The premises has a lots of varied interesting rooms as well as a sun lounge, terrace and garden. Lots of old world charm. Most recently we dined there on March Wednesday March 9th. We arrived at mid-day to a friendly welcome. We had a wide choice of where to sit and the staff usually manage to find us a place for a quiet chat. As it was early in the session there was music playing in the background which I find troubling because of of a hearing difficulty but on request it was turned down a shade after which I had no problem. Following a visit to the sister pub the White Hart at Maulden a few days before, I made the same choices of menu - Chicken strips to start followed by Baked Salmon Supreme. Again it was excellent. The staff were as always friendly and attentive, but discrete enough not to rush us . Although the place is well frequented everything feels leisurely and unhurried. It is especially charming in the Summertime.Another excellent visit.

Great early evening meal. Service was faultless. Menu selection was just right, with a range of local produce including Woburn estate venison. Have the bread and butter pudding. Yum!

A great place for dining out. The layout encourages lots of diners without feeling overcrowded. There are rooms with tables as well as large conservatory area and all giving a warm atmosphere. The staff were excellent, attentive, polite and available to help. Lastly the food was exquisite. Don't expect fast food, everything is freshly prepared. I couldn't fault the experience and would recommend a visit.

Visited with the family and enjoyed a Sunday roast. Friendly service, good food and ample portions size.

Top notch, food was outstanding. Selection of beers looked great even if I didn't get to try any, great place. Staff really friendly and it is a very competently run place.

First time visit for the wife's birthday and a pleasant surprise. Service very attentive and the food was delicious. Well prepared fresh locally sourced produce, very well presented and packed with flavour. Great a la carte menu makes a change from what pubs usually offer!. Will be frequenting alot more!. Thanks to the management and staff for the birthday card.. A great little personal touch!

We went for a family birthday. Really nice pub, friendly staff. The food is top notch, everyone had a great meal.
