Bluberi Cafe in Bedford

My wife and I where excited to visit based on the good reviews and great location. The building is beautiful and the inside looks great .. but… no one acknowledged us the whole time we were there. We decided not to order off of the app as around 70% of the stuff on the app showed as not available. My wife walked up to the bar to the ordering point and five members of staff where available, 2 of which were making drinks at the bar 3 of which were standing around the bar.Every single one avoided eye contact with my wife. No one acknowledged her or greeted her. They all actively avoided eye contact as she attempted to get attention. Either looking to the floor or turning away.Finally a member of staff walked to refill their own drink and at this point was forced to acknowledge my wife. When we went to order it turned out that the app was correct and most things weren’t available. We left.No customer service at all. I appreciate short stock and supply issues perhaps, but not even an attempt to acknowledge someone wanting to spend money is just a crazy way to run a business.

Could not recommend this more! Food is amazing, service is phenomenal. This is my preferred breakfast place when I go and visit family in Bedford. Next thing to try is the sandwiches 🥪

Great pub on the Riverside with a nice view on a few tables, we were lucky...😎👌Delicious burgers and you can change the normal fries for sweet potato fries which we enjoy more.Everything tasted freshly made.Even with the pub being quite full at the time we arrived through the big size and many corridors it didn't feel to full or load.The staff was also very nice and attentive.

Went for lunch on Sunday- busy downstairs but some seating upstairs. Went for tapas selection - remembered from previous visit (before covid) that I enjoyed that. Not disappointed- freshly made, very tasty- worth the long wait for the food! Staff kind and attentive, interesting decor.

Second time I have been for drinks in Albero lounge in 6 weeks. First time we walked out after 20 minutes as no member of staff came back after showing us to a table to to take a drink order. On our 2nd visit we managed to order drinks. Nothing technical a pint, coke and a glass of wine. It took 20+ minutes to get a drink. It’s just such a long wait. We didn’t stay for another one as we didn’t have time. The reason they’d taken so long was a big order of cocktails came in. I think this place has the potential to be far better. There seemed to be plenty of staff. I will say when I’ve eaten here in the day the food is good and service a lot faster hence the 3 star rating. See you in the daytime soon.

First of all fantastic interior designe, very well blended in to age of the duilding. Staff confident and approachable. Our food was over ours expectations. I havent noticed choice of desserts if we would like to pop up just for quick tea or coffe in future.Can't wait to explore first floor interior.

Visited the bar a few times. Feel as if COVID has hit it quite hard, the rearranging of their inside (not their fault) has made it lose its atmosphere a little. Staff were really helpful and friendly as always.Roll on when they can get all the sofas back in and the cozy, friendly atmosphere return.

VEG/VEGAN OPTIONS AVAILABLE! All day brunch too!The decor is so pretty and aesthetically pleasing. Really sets the mood and vibe for a chill place to have brunch and do your work/have a catch up with friends. You order at the table from your phone and the service once you order is pretty quick even when we were there during an extremely busy time on a weekend. Ordered the veggie breakfast and it was very nice. If I’m in the area, I’ll come here for sure👌🏽

One of the best cafe in Bedford n my fav as well. Love the location just at the edge of Great Bedford River Ouse. Very nice n friendly staff. Helpful n attentive. Food is so delicious n tasty. I been there couple of times so thought this is time to leave my reviews. Beautiful atmosphere they created. Those lamp shades always catch my eyes. So colourful. Plenty of seats in n out. Thanks guys for making my day n see u again soon

Good food and some nice cocktails too. Ability to order via the app is a plus. Not being told that one of the cocktails that we ordered wasn't available until the other three were served was a pity - otherwise would have scored this 4 stars. Definitely worth visiting though.
