Blue Ginger in Bedford

One of the best Indian restaurants in the area, and also do a fantastic takeaway service.

The men in the restaurant were lovely and gave us a free extra poppadom. The food was absolutely amazing and was ready for collection quickly. It was my first time ordering from here and was sceptical about trying a new place but I am definitely going to be ordering from here from now on 😁

The driver tried to deliver our food to thewrong address. The food was cold. I orderedVegetable Biryani which did not come with avegetable curry sauce. I rang Blue Ginger toadvise but apparently there is an extra chargefor this! In all the years I have had Biryanis asauce is always provided otherwise one has adry curry! So all in all, late service, my currywas given to another address, the food wascold, the Biryani sauce is not included andwhen I rang Blue Ginger they was not botheredin trying to resolve my problem. I shall infuture order from a competitor. Oh, and I hadto pay for delivery!

I placed the order online and within a couple I received a call from a really rude person who initially refused to confirm his name and then said he is Mr Ahmed. He called to tell that his website has accepted a wrong code and offered £2 extra discount. The person get into an argument that its my fault that selected a wrong code. I told him to cancel the order and refund the money.

Since becoming vegetarian a couple of years ago I've been looking for an Indian takeaway with good veggie options. After several disappointing meals from other places, I tried Blue Ginger for the first time this evening and it was streets ahead. Loads of flavour and packed with a variety of vegetables - miles away from other takeaways that just lob an onion and some spuds in a sauce and call it a day. Really good, will definitely be back.

Great tasting food, ordered the chicken bhuna and chicken tikka starter. Speedy service and excellent service by staff. Very friendly and nice

Ordered for delivery and had the lamb korma which is to die for! The meat is so tender and melts in your mouth. The sauce was creamy and not too sweet. Also ordered the prawn curry and not overly spicy but very tasty. If you looking for good Indian food.. Blue Ginger is the place to eat.

Very nice and cozy atmosphere. Quirky decor with a bubble wall as you walk in. Small restaurant area, great service, great tasty food. Quick service, and a good menu choice. Visited on a Wednesday night and it was pretty full, so booked a table which was waiting for us when we arrived.Thanks guys!Will be back!

Delicious food- this restaurant has been here 15 years- that’s how you know it’s good! The manager came over and sat with us at the end as we were leaving and we had a wonderful chat, all the people dining there - he said goodbye to and he said everyone eating there had come before. He genuinely cared for his customers.He also does a huge amount of takeaways via JUST EAT.I loved the bubble wall near the door and it’s blue glow is what caught my eye and made me want to go there and the fact that one of my best friends comes here every month or more and recommended it to me.My husband and I will definitely come back. Prices are good too!!
