Cinnamon in Bedford

Highly rate the food from here, but definitely not the service or their integrity.I've been ordering from Cinnamon regularly all year and the delivery has always been free. I attempted to order from their website as usual tonight and once I got to checkout, it kept telling me I have to pay for delivery because my address is over 3 miles away, despite the fact it's well under 3 miles. I double checked this myself before questioning it.So I called their number to get help and they told me to select the order as collection and then write a comment in the notes that I need it delivered and provide the delivery address. Sounded easy enough, so I hang up and attempt to do as instructed, only to find that there is no option to select the order for collection. As soon as you enter your billing address, which is mandatory on the ordering page, it adds a delivery fee.I call again and tell them there is no option to select collection - It keeps trying to charge a delivery fee whichever way I try to checkout. Then I'm told a completely different story from 5 minutes before - I either have to collect it and they'll give me the delivery fee back when I collect, or I have to pay for delivery, despite the fact it clearly states on their website that they only charge if the delivery address is over 3 miles and I've already told them I live within this distance.Upon questioning this, the guy then decided to raise his voice at me as if I was the one being unreasonable and it was my problem - Nothing to do with the fact their website provides contradictory information, as do the people answering the phones!I've now wasted half an hour trying to order food from this incompetent takeaway and will be ordering somewhere else instead.EDIT: Thanks for the reply - So what you're telling me is 1. Your website information is incorrect. 2. The person I spoke to first also provided incorrect information and 3. You've not been paying your drivers fairly up until December 2021, when you imposed this recent delivery charge rule which isn't on your website and I wasn't advised of until I phoned a second time. Amazing - Don't act like the people leaving the reviews are the problem, when the real issue is you don't care about providing clear and accurate information to your customers or rectifying their issues in a polite and considerate manner. The condescending tone of your response just says it all really!

Ordered at 1700pm arrived at 1948pm.. near 3 hours, ridiculous, website is buggy and had to get a workaround just to order the food, rang up for an update, tried to be patient, got told a driver is on the way and should be 5mins, this was after waiting an hour and a half. Rang up again 30mins later to be told they dont know who we spoke to before (like you dont know who answers the phone) but we missplaced your order and havent even made the food yet, mistakes are mistakes, but that first guy basically lied, get a grip and do your checks properly, plenty of other Indian Takeaways in the area, i'll go check them out from now on

Used Deliveroo and choose Cinnamon as it had a low wait time, food arrived within 10 mins of expected time and was delicious. I live close to Tavistock Street and hadn't realised I'd ordered from a Kempston restaurant, very impressed that food was piping hot. Definitely ordering again

Ordered from these guys multiple times. Our now go-to takeaway! Thank you for the fab service, quick delivery and amazing food. Any food/menu options have always been exactly as we've ordered or requested. Sometimes inc little extras too. Ordered today - and yet again the food was tip top. Honestly, keep it up. 🖤 thank you.

Tasty food. Butter chicken was really good, they were happy to make it more spicy for us. The starters were tasty, however a little under-spiced. Overall pleased with my order!

Food is Delicious! It Comes hot everytime and tastes amazing! The service is outstanding too, delivery drivers are friendly and always smiling! One of the best Indian takeaways I've had.Thank you for delivery such great food! I will definitely recommend you guys :)

Lovely food great prices

Ordered via just eat yesterday 22/09 and was appalled by the service. We ordered at 19:15 and the order updated on the app saying our food was delivered at 20:30, but was nowhere to be seen. I waited till 20:44 to ring, because I thought someone else might have our food, as I paid before delivery. Cinnamon Indian takeaway said it would arrive to us in 15 minutes. It took till 21:18 for me to ring them and I was fuming because we were all hungry and I said if it doesn’t get here in the next 5 minutes I want a refund, it didn’t seem like anyone there was listening to anything I said. The food arrived here at 21:38 with a dish missing to add insult to injury. The food was hot which made me think they had either forgot to make the food or gave it to someone else. I work in the motor trade and know how important it is to let the customer know exactly what is happening, and not to lie to the customer; not good. It was our first time using these, and will be our last! Just eat called the takeaway and all we got was a refund for the missing item.....even though the takeaway said we had it; more lies. Sort things out, you need to be honest with customers!
