"The Denmark Street Fish & Chip Shop has returned into the original family ownership. Dom Sacco originally took over the Chip shop in 1983 and ran it with the family until 1998 when he decided to lease the shop and explore other ventures including opening an Italian restaurant and managing Hotels and high end restaurants. 2020 has seen the return of the Sacco's to the Chip Shop and Dom looks forward to welcoming old and new customers. Fish and Chip Takeaway. Come and visit us for fantastic, fresh, made to order, fish, chips, pies, burgers, sausages and all your delicious fish and chip shop favourites!"

Have tried several chippies in Bedford and none were anything special. Gave this one a try and have found a gem. Good portions of chips, that weren't greasy. Wife said her cod was delicious and the batter reminded her of Scottish chippies (a huge compliment).

The Best in Bedford. This is how fish & chips should be made. It was like stepping back in time when standards were higher & quality was better. Friendly service. Competition can learn from Denmark street high standards.

The best chips in town. By a mile. And certainly the most consistent. Never fails to please. Fish is good too. Crisp batter. You don't get any reheated stuff here at all.

This chip shop sell the best fish and chips in Bedfordshire. The food is always well cooked and tasty. The portions are very generous. The staff and owners in the chippy are consistently very friendly and welcoming.

Have been using the fish and chip shop regularly since Dom took over, and we think the food is really something to be proud of, and it is now at least a weekly event, well done to all, and everyone serving is so helpful, it really has a nice atmosphere.
