King Cod in Bedford

Customer service recovery was very good!Incorrect order noted when l got home, the shop sent out the correct order and a comp ice cream too, they went above and beyond!Best chips and curry sauce 😋

Oh dear; 3rd visit here but won't be going back. 1st visit was so long ago I can't remember whether we enjoyed our food but, anyway, a few weeks ago our chips were nearly cold by the time we got home a few minutes away. Tonight's meal included a large portion of chips, warm but not hot, but we had to throw most away as they were hard scraps. Obviously making chips from small potatoes. A pie is now £3, too and was soggy so an expensive treat not enjoyed at all.

Used to be a really good chip shop. Seems they got a reputation and let their standards slip, along with a 3 inch hair!!Service not with a smile, please or thank you. They can’t be bothered to answer the phone. Battered sausage like cardboard and chips rock hard. Human hair found in my chips and straight away put me off. Ive tried calling to explain but no answer. Definitely avoid this place!!! 5* Hygiene they boast 🤔

We had kebabs and chip they Were cold when we got back home we live 5 mins away meat was hard more salad then meat not many chips either so disappointing won't be going againI did ring up and was offered a refund18 pound down drain

We have come up from Cornwall and are staying near Bedford for a few days and working at the Hospital because they are short staffed. We need food before the night shift starts at 7 o’clock and saw King Cod on our first drive into the hospital so decided to give it a try the next evening. I had a donar kebab, and my wife had cod and chips, it was most probably as good as I have eaten anywhere. All of the food was cooked to perfection, it was all hot and tasty, and served in trays and then wrapped, perfect. It was so good I took the time to pop back and thank the staff.Should we be back in the area and in need of takeaway food, they will certainly be top of my list, thanks.

Never had any issues with this take away. Been a customer for 10 years. Food has always been lovely and fresh. Great customer service. Staff are warm and friendly.

Just drove in from Wootton and just returned home to find these chips, absolutely disgusting never had them like this before, not happy, if I could give it a zero I would

Absolutely disgusting food! Ordered medium chips, 2 sausages and curry sauce.Firstly told I couldn't pay by card because it was under £5. Seriously! Everyone is paying by card at the moment and I no longer carry cash.Get home and dish food up and everything was cold. Along with being cold the chips were rock hard and needed a hammer to break them up and the weirdest taste like they were fried in old oil. I only was given 1 sausage which went in the bin anyway. The curry sauce tastes like it had disinfectant mixed in it. Went in the bin too!I phones to complain and was offered more food...no thank you! Then a refund.Don't let the nice frontage and interior mislead you because the food is the worst thing I've ever tried to eat! Will be telling my friends and family to steer clear.

Excellent from start to finish very friendly staff with great 👍 customer service skills from greeting you as you come in too leaving.Food is absolutely fantastic would recommend this place to everyone. One of the best fish and chip shops I’ve been too by a very long mile.Thank you 🙏.EXCELLENT.

Very disappointed with food as am a regular customer. Will definitely not be coming again. Fish and chips tasted awful very dry. Seemed like been fried quite some time ago. Food went straight in the bin.
