Phoned for a very last minute booking and they fitted us in, although they were very busy (and rightly so).Outstanding Sunday Roast. A very warm welcome and excellent beer and wine. Staff were very friendly and helpful.First time and we're still talking about the quality of the food the next day. No hesitation in recommending, and will definitely return. Thanks guys 🙂

Some of our family (two adults, one 10yo) came here for an evening meal. This was our first visit since the pub had been refurbished and we were impressed. Our table was in the front bar area which was quite relaxed and informal (there is a rear restaurant room which is smart and more formal). We ordered appetisers to share (breads with dips, mixed olives) and for main we chose the steak meal deal for two (only on Wednesdays) which is two steaks with three side dishes and a bottle of wine for £30, and an Oakley Arms cheeseburger and finished with a chocolate terrine for dessert. The menu looked good and the food did not disappoint: fresh ingredients, well cooked and filling too. The service was attentive without being over the top. At £71 for three 3 course meals with two rounds of drinks it is good value given the quality. We'd definitely eat here again.

We had a delicious meal of home made food, spinach leek and potato soup with home made bread to start. I can honestly say it was the best soup I have had for a very long time followed by beef and ale pie with mashed potatoes and braised red cabbage. My husband is coeliac and was delighted to discover the fish and chips were gluten free along with half of the menu. The portions were generous even the ice cream was homemade. There was a very nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and attentive, would highly recommend.

All you could want from your village pub. Wonderful traditional English pub food, cooked exceptionally well (Sunday Roast is excellent), the bakery serves delicious cakes / breads and Lizzie, Andy and team are lovely people to round it off. Keep up the good work, we'll be back :)

I have only positive comments about The Oakley Arms.I took my family there yesterday for lunch. The food was perfect and they accommodated for our children too (who can be a bit fussy!). Fish of the day was whiting. It was cooked in a light batter and fell fo the fork. Triple cooked chips were amazing too! My 8 year old enjoyed her burger and my 3 year old enjoyed her chicken. My wife has a burger with monterey jack cheese - she ate it was a fork because it was so big!Nice to see a local cider on tap too (Saxby's of Wellingborough).Just a lovely atmosphere and the staff were all genuinely happy and friendly. We will definitely be going back there soon!

Was fortunate enough to get a booking on New Year's Eve for their 10 course taster menu with a group of friends. What an amazing experience. The food was truly some of the best I've ever eaten, and to describe it as pub food would be wrong. It really was fine dining in a village pub. Every course had been beautifully crafted, and designed, and was utterly bursting with flavour. The presentation was amazing, especially the last desert course where we were served by the chefs, a really lovely touch and real theatre. The service from ALL of the staff was outstanding. I consider myself really fortunate to have The Oakley Arms in my village. Highly recommended.
