The Fox at Carlton in Bedford

This was a really nice surprise we stumbled across on Mother's Day 2022. We had been out in a neighbouring village and came in for a bite, sitting outside in their spacious garden. The owner/staff was incredibly kind to us (we rocked up with two toddlers) and attentive to all the customers; the food was simple fare but very well done and so so delicious. Would really recommend, had great meal! Thank you very much.

Great service, scrumptious food and dogs welcome. We even had a table reserved for us so Samson had room to lay down in the alcove. The homemade chips are wonderful and crispy, the garlic bread is the best we've ever tasted and the lemon cheesecake is utterly delicious.Can't wait to go back.Samson was so relaxed he went to sleep.

Best pub ever and that's nothing to do with the fact that my sister in law is the landlady and she frightens me.

My mum had been told the day before that their was no need to book ahead. So we all did a long drive there. (Mine was about 40 mins) to then get told when we felt there that no table for food left. Even though virtually no tables were taken. Just poor service all round.
