The Horse & Jockey in Bedford

The drinks were really good however the food wouldn’t come back again. Used to go every week however since being taken over food isn’t the same and has massively gone down hill, ordered steak and could only eat 1/3 of it the rest wasn’t great and my boyfriend had fish and chips which were meh.

Friendly pub/restaurant with great food. Would definitely return.

Excellent venue,quite small and nearly always booked in evenings....book ahead to secure a place. Menu varies depending what is available. Lunchtime normally possible to get in. Has an excellent reputation locally

Ate here for the first time tonight and can honestly say it was the best meal we have had in a long time. There were so many lovely things on the menu I was spoilt for choice. I chose the vegetarian pastry parcel which was so tasty. My husband had mussels and then the fish stew which he said were both delicious. There were 6 of us and everyone loved their meal. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. We will definitely be back. 5 ⭐️

Really good and friendly service. Food was excellent- great quality ingredients, well cooked, well seasoned and well presented. Prices were pretty good too, 3 courses and a couple of drinks each for £40.00 a head. Beer was good (Adnams), toilets were nice and clean - my mother would approve 😀 Some nice options on the specials list. We'll be back very soon

the Horse and Jockey is a great little restaurant a few minutes drive outside of Bedford. I would call it in upscale pub with great food and great service. The staff is super friendly.

Went for the first time on Fathers Day. Excellent menu. Duck and Bacon Hash Starter was superb. Very welcoming owners. Lovely homely feel. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Looks non descript from the outside but is one of the best quality food pubs in the area. More a venue for dining than a drinking pub.
