Facilitated our friend's hen party lunch, excellent food and fantastic service. The staff went above and beyond and decorated the table beautifully. Highly recommend.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Tried it many years ago and food was terrible. Thought I'd give this another go as I was local.Firstly the staff were very friendly. Was happy with the service.Menu was for Sunday. There were no starters at all, and literally three roasts to choose from and that was it. Great for us because we wanted a roast. But that's got to be the most limited menu I've seen. No issue with that in my opinion as long as they get it right.Food came out fast! Very impressed with the speed, but thats all I was impressed with. Literally 2 small slices of beef on those who chose beef. Those who chose chicken got a thigh. Kids on half portions got 1 small slice of meat. I think the meat portion left alot to be desired, but it did taste nice. Unfortunately the potatoes were disgusting. I've never eaten a bad roast potato in my life, until i came here. God knows how they're cooking them, old oil perhaps? Not sure but was disappointed. Stuffing came out cold.. which is odd as stuffing retains heat really well. Veg was nice.Asked for some mint sauce as a condiment and they did not have any. Basic condiments were available. All in all it was an OK experience here, but if your looking for a decent roast dinner,.your better off going to Toby Carvery where you'll get decent portions, nicer spuds and condiments a plenty.Value for money, not bad. 10£ a meal. My advice to the owner, charge a little more and give more meat/options. Also revise how the potatoes are being cooked...something's not right with them.

Had lunch today with my elderly mother. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful to us and made great efforts to find something my mother could eat. Thank you

What a difference, no longer do you feel unwelcome. The new landlady is friendly, warm and inviting. She seems to have injected new life into the pub and made the once avoided location into a great social hub of the Village once again. A great time was had by all. The Queens Head is alive again, ALIVE!

Great to see the pub open again. The menu is restricted but we both had great food. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the chef came out to check meal was good, which it was. Thanks very much, be back soon

Went to the Queens Head tonight for a meal as it's the wife's birthday tomorrow, haven't been there for a while. We had a meal and were both stuffed. The Atlantic Cod was really nice, a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be and the Mrs said her chicken, mushroom leak pie was excellent. The food was very quick too. We both had the cheesecake desert and that was also very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can book a table online with ease, we'll worth the visit. The price was also very good. We will be going again.
