The Smokeshack Bedford in Bedford

A fantastic gem in Bedford town. If nachos are your thing these are the best I've tasted a fantastic starter. Their burgers are perfect, juicy, but not too overbearing and messy. Just right. I wish we could of had dessert as im.sure it would have been perfect. We went last Saturday night around the busiest time and the atmosphere was great. Not too busy or loud, fantastic table service and staff. Thank you

Went with 3 friends, food was nice and lots of it, i had the nachos for one which was big enough to share and the burger which was delicious. Staff were friendly.Cocktails were nice but did take a very long time to arrive considering it was not busy, and we twice had to try and get the attention of staff for extra drinks at the table as we were not asked during the meal, which is not a big issue!Was a pleasant evening out with friends.

We ordered the Fat Cup feast for £49 and it was very good!A lot of mixed pork meat, 2 serves of chips, beans, slaws and bread.Bottomless soda drinks for £3.80.Very nice staff and clean restaurant.Just a little suggestion, change the plates because they were too small compared to the huge amount of meat you serve! The location by the river makes it a nice place to visit, the restaurant is beautifully designed inside, most of seating area is cushioned and at general it is really clean. Great selection of food, the appetisers were really tasty particularly calamari and halloumi sticks. The service is really nice and friendly, would recommend if you like American food.

Had a takeaway. Ordered main and dirty side . Still hungry. Small portions and the brisket fries were just cheap mince on top of a few chips with maybe a small bit of brisket in.Burger was nice but also tiny with a tiny side of chips..

I really liked the service. The staff were very polite and helpful. - The food came reasonably quickly.The food was great, but the portion sizes were a bit too small. I tried the burger, nice smoky flavor, but tiny for £15.

This was our first experience eating in at fatcap after a few of there delicious takeaways during lockdown and it wasn't one to dissapoint! The waiting staff was excellent, the food menu was broad and full of delicious food which made it impossible to choose what to have which I guess is the beauty of it and wanting to come back to try something else! The outdoor seating is warm and enclosed from the elements, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch while it rained and didn't feel a drop once! Cocktails was also not too shabby! Will be back soon!

Travelled from Stevenage to take my other half on a surprise date night (50 minute drive) and it was more than worth it. The food was amazing, the taste of everything we ordered exceeded expectations and there is so much choice! Cocktails are delicious. The staff helped make the experience as good as it was and we have already arranged to return for a friends birthday. Only just got home and already can’t wait. Thanks guys!!!

Wonderful meal! The meat was amazing and the sides lovely. Great portion sizes. Friendly staff. Only complaint was the long wait but that was forgiven by how good the food was. It was so good we then ordered takeaway the next day.

Chloe and patch very attentive food was great,lovely music playing low,meat was tender tasty and plenty of it,my wife loves her burger,the jalapeno starter was brill,my wife had salmon toast that we both shared our starters,I wrapped salmon around jalapenos and invented a new starter (patch you can have that idea). We will definitely be back and I thank them for making my wife happy on our 12th anniversary,thank you very much.
