Good food, a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Lovely friendly pub with some nice real ales at a reasonable price staff walking around the pub to serve another drink even before the current one is finished!

It’s a lovely pub, nice drinks selection and decorated well etc but so shocking to see how the landlord speaks to his staff members. Particularly considering it was in clear sight of customers so dread to think how he treats behind the scenes. Not necessary or called for at all

Today we had the best Sunday roast for years. The beef was pink and thinly cut, the roast potatoes crisp and fluffy and plenty of gravy! The staff were friendly and efficient.

Nicely refurbed and big Charlie Wells pub. Only giving it 4 instead of 5 because in two recent visits it hasn't had the CW Brewpoint seasonal ales on, just the regulars DNA and Legacy - which are nice enough but I like a bit of variety

The food here is amazing, as well as all the staff who were also very friendly and helpful.Will definitely be coming back. Overall an very nice place to sit and relax!Thankyou to all the staff for a great experience!

Ten of us went for a christmas meal. Great service. Everyone enjoyed their meals except me, it had lots of veg on I didn't ask for. Expensive for what I got too. Dessert was lovely, but not big enough.

Excellent friendly service. The pub feels clean and very homely. Zak behind the bar very professional and was confident in what he was doing. The food was incredible, honestly one of the best burgers in Bedford. Couldn't recommend enough

I have really enjoyed both lunch and evening meals here.Pleasantly set out both inside and out, uncrowded when I went.Food arrives quickly, is hot, and well prepared.The only item holding me back from 5 stars is the size of the side orders which appear poor value. (I'm looking at you onion rings...)

Great place recently transformed by the family behind the Burnaby. Atmosphere is great, wonderful staff (great to see the bar maid from the Burnaby migrate) and even better - really tasty food!
