Waterfront Restaurant and Bar in Bedford

I chose this restaurant to meet my new boss for dinner. I was a bit nervous as I wanted to choose something that’s nice enough for him to enjoy but not too expensive for my first company funded meal.I think this was the perfect balance. The setting is really nice with a huge glass frontage to the restaurant overlooking the golf course and lake. The bar itself is also really long and well stocked.It took a bit longer than I would have liked to wait at the counter before someone came along to seat us but once we were at our table the service was excellent and the frequency of interactions from the staff were well judged.The menu has a good selection of healthy, vegan and also not healthy and not vegan options. We ended up having 3 courses.As a plus, there was some kind of promotion applied to the bill because my boss was staying in the hotel – so he was very pleased with the price too! Thank you 😊(4 stars because of the delay to be seated, and I was told I could have the superfood salad with normal feta and it was sent out with vegan feta which wasn't as nice, and the poached pear was still quite crunchy which meant it skidded around on the plate like a bar of soap and was tricky to eat)

This restaurant is trying really hard to be high-end but the food and ambience really let it down. If you are trying to sell expensive bottles of wine then let the customer try a mouthful. If you want to charge £27 for duck then let it taste of something. The hotel is also a conference centre so there are a lot of business meetings taking place. It reminded me of a works canteen.

Lovely views, the staff greeds you with a smile. Disappointed with breakfast. We ordered the Egg Royale which is eggs benetict with Salmon. The eggs were cooked to perfection but baked Salmon instead of smoked salmon.it wasn't nice at all. I will not recommend this choice from the menu.

A nice place to stop for a coffee whilst charging the Tesla. Good views, food and staff.

Food was great but not much choice for vegetarians / vegans. Great views of the lake from the restaurant, friendly staff and a comfortable environment.

Really fantastic food. Rocky start as we waited around 1:20 between starters and main, they ahd forgotten our order in the kitchen, but apologised and we're given complementary cocktails as a GWG, much appreciated. The pork two ways was the best belly of pork I have ever eaten, and certainly worth the wait. The staff ere attentive and were genuinely working really hard.
