Great venue, excellent food and incredible service.Popped in for Mother's Day (managed to squeeze us in with only a weeks notice) and had the set three course meal. Managed to swap starters with another choice with no issues. Good was good, and the lasagna was incredible. The service was fast and great too.I'd definitely go back, will recommended.

Food excellent, it's definitely the place to go for a decent Italian meal. The menu on their website is up to date, so we knew there were some great dishes. Plus they have an interesting specials list, so the choice is excellent. The building is old and charming inside, the service very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely meal. One issue though. We chose this restaurant for a family meal because they have a children's menu. It was mum's birthday, so the boys wanted to come along. Lots of nice dishes on the childrens menu, so no fear that the kids would complain. One son had macaroni and bolagnase sauce, the other had ricotta and spinach ravioli. The bolagnase was a generous size dish, too much for a 6 year old in fact. The ravioli was 4 average size pieces in a butter sauce, our 8 year old finished this in 4 mouthfuls. That is not a child's meal, and we had to feed the poor boy from the rest of our plates. Being British we said nothing and smiled, which does not help. Please take note, that is not a child size main course.

The food was above average and the service was really nice, but the portion sizes were not big and 3 of us spent Β£160 in about 90 mins without making any effort. It was an amazing amount considering that we drank two bottles of wine, a double whiskey, and a glass of wine.We would recommend, but be prepared to pay.

My mother loves this restaurant; however, my daughter is dairy intolerant and nearly everything contains cheese or milk. She ordered the risotto & asked if there was any dairy products in it - she was told no. Um...not true as within an hour the cramps and pain set in. They need a vegan option, rather than just vegetarian. It would have solved the problem.

Very accommodating and welcoming staff, good choice of dishes and reasonably priced, child friendly. Food delicious and they do not skimp on the portion either, I would definitely recommend.

Always a great place to eat. Family run business and the whole experience is 10/10. Can't wait to go back.

Went there for a Tuesday night birthday celebration. This old village public house has a cosy atmosphere and attentive staff but best of all was the food. No complaints from carnivores or vegetarians and everything got eaten, though vegans may of been disappointed with the menu. Lots of compliments about the house red as well, could do with a decent ale/beer on tap for those that don't love lager but otherwise couldn't fault it.

Celebration for my sister's 50th, party of 14 of us. Excellent night, great food and happy to let us bring a Celebration cake and decorate our table with balloons π. Thank you for all your help and making this a special evening.
