Booking Hall Cafe in Braintree

Nice location. On a good day it's probably really good. However, bacon that was once crispy and now allowed to cool had acquired the consistency of chewy cardboard, slow slow service and kitchen staff with frighteningly long nails to add to the list of hygiene violations visible at the window when ordering. Would be nice if the tables were clean.

The old railway station is a great place for food and drinks you can enjoy a nice stroll down the old train track from Braintree or Dunmow and sit on the platform and enjoy your beverage

I love this setting on the Flitch Way an old railway line, and railway station. Popular with walkers and cyclists. Great coffee, excellent choice cakes and other food.

Little gem of a place. Absolutely loved our visit. Perfect surroundings on a perfect sunny spring day. No inside seating so we were lucky but we will definitely be returning. Delicious hot chocolate and toasted cheese as well.

A very interesting, out of the way and quirky spot for a coffee and a nose-around, in the old Rayne Station. Good food, free parking (although not many spaces); just a shame that there was only one gluten free cake available ( but then it was 'only' a Tuesday!) And a good base for a walk along the Flitch Way. Plenty of people, particularly those with dogs, think the same. Recommended.

A really lovely location to meet, go for a walk and sit and enjoy refreshments 😊 20/07/21 my daughter and I have had a lovely lunch, the Cumberland Sausage and onion sandwich was The Best Sandwich I have ever tasted😋 set us up nicely for a lovely walk with our two boys👌👍☺️19/04/22, had a delicious sausage sandwich and a lovely spring walk.Friendly staff as well as delicious food in a unique setting😎

Staff amazing, food amazing, hospitality amazing, was bitter cold, windy and drizzlie... and still one of the best lunches we've had in years. They have a half canopy for the wet months and are super dog friendly !Absolutely faultless, the salt beef on sour dough and the chicken and bacon sandwichs are to die for !Can't wait to return !!

Fantastic food and drinks as usual. Food is top notch and plentyof it. Such good value for money. Clean and tidy, and plenty of seating. Staff are always friendly.
