It's been a long while since we had been here but remembered there was a play area in the garden where our little one could have a play in the sunshine after we had finished lunch. It's just come under new management and the staff could not have been more friendly. The service was excellent and we will definitely be back again soon to see Charlotte and her team!

Went to this pub on my weekend break. Staff very friendly. Looked like they were struggling with short staff. Food wasn't great and waited a long time for deserts. We did not get deserts at same time so we're left waiting for each other. Deserts wete not great. Mine was still partially frozen. Would not go back.

Nice surroundings and great service from the Dan (I think) who served us. Only downfall was the raw pastry at the bottom of the pie which fair enough removed from the bill.

The front of house staff were very good I had a lovely pie with mash and veg, as I like a lot of gravy I asked for extra. My husband had a steak which he thoroughly enjoyed. We don't often have dessert but thought we would treat ourselves..I ordered my favourite crumble , my husband had cheesecake. Me being me I needed extra custard lol my hubby was not happy that they charged extra for it 😅

Went to meet a friend for a good catch up and booked a lunch time slot as always found staff really friendly and attentive on passed visits. Plus really enjoy their food. Unfortunately we both received a parking fine as we obviously stayed too long and didn't realise their is a limit on the time you can stay in their large carpark..therefore beware of this. I just wish the staff could remind you of this when you arrive as not the norm when going for lunch, conversation can go on especially when you are having such a nice time. Not sure if we will go again as worried this may happen again. Sorry but this is the reason for the 2stars. Worked out to be expensive andSoooo disappointed.

Went on a Friday evening 7ish a few in but not overly busy. After checking bookings said had table and shown to o e nearby. Not particularly welcoming but giave it a go. Service was VERY slow, asked for an extra drink but it never came, ordered deserts but after 30 mins decided to give up and leave .Please be aware rhat you should register your car on entering, we weren't told of this but you could be fined. Sorry but won't be returning.

I arranged a formal Xmas do for our Sports Club recently. It was the first time we had been here but it was so good we have already booked for next year. The room was warm and comfortable and nicely decorated and the food was delicious. A really good selection as well. Thank you Lizzie and your team for looking after us - especially as you had another group on the go at the same time. You helped make our evening a great success. We didn’t get a single bad word from anyone.

I visited the Duke for a spot of lunch. We ordered at one and the food was out in less than 20 minutes, which was quick. The food itself was good quality pub grub. Nothing fancy but nice. The desserts were the same. There is a play equipment in the garden and the kids were happy to play on it until food came. All in all a nice pub, good food and equipment to entertain the kids.

I’m not one toLeave reviews normally, I left here extremely unsatisfied. When the food gets bought out they don’t put it in front of you just at the end of the table for you to go get, no check ups or asking for another drink which would be bearable if the food wasn’t so bad, very cheap quick oven dinner food. Also didn’t get what we asked for, sausage mash gravy veg dinner but got dry sausages peas and carrots bought out. Maybe it was a bad day, but I won’t be returning and was a complete waste of money 😣

Lovely pub with a great setting. Decor is top notch and so was the atmosphere. All the staff are lovely too.Unfortunately though, despite it not being busy, the slow service and poor food quality (in comparison to the price) did let it down slightly. The fish and chips I ordered felt as if its been in the freezer for a few weeks before being cooked. Not very signature in my opinion.Despite all this, I would come here again.
