KFC in Braintree

Food as lovely as you can expect from a KFC only the restaurant needed a good clean. Food all over the pace and we searched but couldn't find a table or floor space than had been cleaned. When a staff member appeared to clean the floors they looked very scruff with ripped work trousers which had stuck in my mind and led to a rather odd experience. I won't be returning to this KFC soon. Only weeks before had an amazing experience at the Boreham, Chelmsford branch and hoped the Braintree one would be similar.

It's KFC. The missus loves the vegetarian burger. And I love chicken. Win win. The little one didn't like the chicken pieces so much. I'm concerned he might be going down the vegetarian route - I may have to have a serious talk with him soon.

Over an hour wait for a delivery of 3 portions of chips and a regular popcorn chicken box, wait time doubled suddenly so I presume they forgot my order and had to remake it. First diver had to cancel due to the long wait which I don't blame him and the second one almost did. First and last order I'll be making here, slowest restaurant around.

Decided to have an easy dinner something different from a roast. I live less than 5 minute drive from store. Took 20 minutes to receive my order from using app to say I arrived. Got home and chips cold and hard, spicy wings cold and over cooked, beans cold. Over half the party box we ordered could not be eaten.Didn't use delivery company as I wanted it hot. Learned a lesson cook my own dinner next time. Severely disappointed. So much will be along time before I waste my money on KFC.

Went to the drive thru, was informed they had no fillets at all, which was part of every meal we wanted. After some discussion we ordered different meals. Paid at the window and got our food, minus the bottle of Pepsi max. Reminded the server we paid for the pepsi max only to be told they didn't have any! No other sugar free drinks were available so we ended up with tango (which nobody will drink) Once home the chicken was very dry and looked over cooked. They were not busy at the time of our visit. Terrible service, disappointing food, waste of £20

I am only leaving 1 star because it’s not possible to leave any less. Quite possibly the most unprofessional set of employees, I have ever come across. Clearly no understanding of what good customer service should look or sound like. The worst thing is they are CONSISTENTLY poor. A change of management is sorely needed and a revamp required to salvage the flailing reputation.

This is an edit from my previous 3 star.Starting with a positive, the restaurant itself is nice to look at.The seats are uncomfortable, the staff barely look at you and you're forced to use a horrible to use device to order your food.When requesting table service you are still called up to collect your food.Tables are reserved for staff throughout the restaurant, there are uber / deliveroo drivers everywhere getting in the way.As for the food itself, greasy and tasteless. I actually suspect the burger I had was bad chicken as it was chewy.The wings are mainly breadcrumbs very little actual chicken insideWon't be going againSort it out kfc, not good enough

The worst KFC we have had for sometime. Ordered 3 Zigger meal boxes, and 3 extra portion of chips/frys, the frys were the worst we have ever experienced, some were cooked some were not, basically discussing.The gray was like water, and the chicken which came in the box was so small with hardly any chicken on the bone, and the texture was not appealing at all. Our family treat was a complete let down.

I used to live in London where KFCs are everywhere. Pretty standard that when you order, you get what you ask for. Shocked when ordering from this KFC that 9 out of 10 times, they will either lie (pretend to give you what you ask for) or just argue the toss. The 5 star reviews must be friends/family as there is not a single person I have spoken to that has anything good to say about this place. Every one star review I’ve read is spot on. You know it’s bad when ppl come on to review how bad a KFC joint is! Close the place down and re-open somewhere ppl can get half decent service. Hopefully the Tim Horton’s opening up next door gives us much better options & shows them how it should be done!

Very busy today but the staff got the queue moved along quickly, I used the drive through, staff were friendly, police and prompt with service! Food was hot, order was correct! Great experience! Thanks 😊
