BEST FOR DECENT BEER. One of the few beer only pubs round Braintree, and they do it excellently. The beer is reliably top quality and served at it's best, staff are friendly and helpful. Inside it's a cosy place to enjoy yourself, so looking forward to lockdown lifting in a couple of weeks time. The beer garden is really well done with benches and covered booths. Great place.

Proper pub. No gaming machines, no TV. Excellent selection of beers,some brewed on the premises.
