McDonald's in Braintree

Conveniently located. A very busy place, always queues for the drive through when we've either gone there, or gone past. Food is up to McD standard. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant is kept clean and tidy.

Hot food and hot coffee from the drive through of the Maccy D's near Freeport, Braintree. Hard to see the drive through entrance...I and a number of others drove into the packed car park, by mistake. Still, the food was good and hot...and the service was quick and polite!

Mcdonalds does the best hash browns! It is very easy to order on the menu boards. Menu is varied but quality, temperature taste and deliciousness, is always good with reasonable prices. What you expect, is what you get!!!

I can't say much about the drive-thru or dine-in experience as this place is rather out of my way and a long trek to get to on foot, so nearly all of my experiences here are based on their delivery service, offered through Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats or their own McDonald's phone app, depending on the year and such.As a couple of other reviews have said, the delivery service here is absolutely shocking, not to mention that the delivery fee of £4 (on their app) is steep, especially considering that the KFC next door is like 80p or something and even with a £1 service charge, is still less than half the cost for McDonald's.Now, I have nothing against the delivery drivers themselves for the most part, with my only gripe being that sometimes I only receive half a cup of coffee, with the rest being soaked into the bag, but that's what I'd consider minor compared to my more serious complaints:Out of my last 6 or so orders, nothing has been exactly as it was ordered:- Added bacon for 50p? Missing. On multiple occasions.- Paid 50p or £1 for extra sauce packets? No sauce packets in the order.- Remove tomatoes because I'm intolerant? Tomatoes in my burgers.Now, this last point is massive.Thankfully, I'm not allergic, but can you imagine!?You specifically ask for the removal of a certain item, due to a potential allergy, only to take a huge bite out of your burger/wrap and find that the item is still there?That might not end well at all.I would give it 1-star for that on it's own, but it gets a 2-star because the food usually arrives very quickly and still warm.

If I could give minus stars I would. Last time I use this branch after multiple visits that all had problems.You can ask for sauce if you want but it's unlikely you get it. You'll be lucky to get your full order! Constantly have to park up and wait as their careless staff can't keep up.Also Mcflurrys are on the menu but that's as close as you'd get to one.Do not use, id say go to the KFC next door but they're just as useless.

Not ordered in a long time as they can never get it right. Ordered through Uber and once again its wrong. Only missing two large big mac meals, a triple cheese burger, 20 nuggets, sauces and straws. Thankfully you managed to deliver the drinks and two kids meals. Called McDonalds and they couldnt give two hoots that they cant do their job and told me to take it up with Uber. I mean seriously you must know you have the main part of an order still sat there?! The Uber driver didnt give a care either just told us to apply for a refund, thanks that will fill my belly before work. I mean seriously how do you think they got all that food into two bags?!?! Applied for a refund. Lets see what happens there. Seriously when is someone, anyone going to start taking pride in their work, whatever your job you should give it your all, yes mistakes happen but step up and be accountable and try to rectify it.

Went to the drive tru after finishing work at around midnight, at the collection kiosk we were greeted by two lovely young ladies one by the name of Megan (didn’t catch the first ones name) and they were absolutely lovely! Brightend our night completely!

I tend to not write reviews, however today was given and I wanted to credit their kindness and empathy. Therefore, I will try and keep this short and sweet. I ordered through the app, but long story short, the app failed to show my order confirmation after clicking the “I’ve arrived” button. I explained that I was waiting at the drive-thru for 45 minutes (with all due respect, it was a busy hour for them) and then waited a further 5 minutes inside the branch. Gia, the shift manager, along with all the staff were considerate and quick on their feet to find my order. The whole ordeal ended with a meal, which was on the house, as they felt bad for my waiting time. As mentioned, Gia and the rest of the team were very empathetic and hospitable, that I feel they deserve more credit than they deserve. Thank you so much :)

Now that Mc D have gone digital .older folk like me struggle a bit with the technology, luckily there was a helpful assistant, who was very helpful

Chips were cold so asked for fresh ones which to be honest weren't much hotter. No napkins on the stand and sauces needed replenishing. Seems popular with just eat and delivaroo and drive thru was busy
